Well ... Hunny Singh is banned, but what about the songs of Fevicol where Karina compares herself with a chicken get who anyone can pick and chew? Is that how women are potrayed or will continue to get potrayed in these item songs?

How don't we have some form of screening going on in India about such humiliating words?

This is worse than nudity or bold scenes. This is dehumanizing of a gender in Indian pictures. OR is it normal and should be let continue by India and we leave it on the people to decide whether to watch or not?

Should the people really be allowed so much liberty? A lot of illiterates are there in India, many of them have no exposure to life and already define machismo is a very violent way. Is it not normal then to have some kind of control over what they see? These kind of people will not refrain from playing these songs and using them to justify their psychotic definition of Machismo.

So? ... should Fevicol songs and its likes be banned too?

yes

firstly i would say not to put kareena's name. If it was not she it would be someone else doing it.
I blame the lyricist and music composers.
honestly i pretty liked the music only of the song. It's quite peppy and dance.
But when it comes to the lyrics i think i did not like the line you mentioned above.
another case is chikni chameli. The thing pawwa chadake ayi disturbed me.
what would children react seeing their favourite celebrity saying she got drunk???
usually children try to copy their idol, copying their actions. I bet how many children asked their parents what is pawwa and can i have it.

what has happened to bollywood nowdays??
we are talking about feminism and on the other hand the woman is treated like a murgi!!!

when the song is vulgar, the moves are vulgar(see chikni chameli, halkat jawani), the clothes are minimum, and the whistles are maximum.
Bollywood is not completely to be blamed.
part of it should be blamed to the listeners.
Till people keep on appreciating these types of song, they will be continuously made. Not producers are solely to be blamed.

this year i loved an item song from the movie shanghai;imported kamariya.
the lyrics were shocking(intellingent) and no vulgar movesThumbs Up

There are not vulgar songs only vulgar thoughts. The truth is that you can go many places to watch/listen to this stuff on the internet so what is the point banning it? Honestly first people should think about changing themselves. Also the fact remains that these types of songs get famous because of public appreciation, then they just get worse and worse and more popular. Banning it will do no good if people really want to watch it they will. But listening to the song depends on the persons choice of music and since music is supposed to be a way of expression so you really should not stop that.  So no not really just stop listening to it if you dislike the music or the images but that wont stop other people from looking/listening to it. Honestly this whole item song thing is a disaster getting out of hand but it is people who are making it more common in more movies and such.

It is difficult to stop listening when these vulgar songs get played full blast during functions and gatherings like marriages and other community programmes. The vulgar lyrics  may cause embarrassment to some listeners or annoy others. They also get used to eve tease girls.
Listening to such songs in privacy may be allowed but how does one stop them being played in public?

The Slum people cannot be expected to think in your educated way. They just listen and get turned on. They want to been a machismo as they have been denied of respect and rights. They wish to enforce it on one of those SAHERI MEM ... so they do it.

These songs are targeted towards sick minds. The sickest of these minds are in the slums. Making irresponsible people agitated is a solution? I think its a crisis.

These songs should be banned in my opinion. As zorro said... when its played loud it creates an atmosphere which is ugly and feeds on the to vulgar life of creeps.

But how can these songs be allowed to be listened to in privacy either? Who would? Only sick people who need medical attention will listen to them.

Peppy songs can be nice songs too ... "Aaj kal tere mere pair ke charche" was a peppy song as well. Why are we only feeding on to our devil these days?

YES

IMO all these songs- be it honey singh, chikni chameli, shila ki jawani, fevicol, munni badnam----  they all project woman as sex object. If one  is constantly listening to these songs, ofcourse their mind become vulgar and cheap too and they do disgusting things to others.

It would be worth finding out if the host or organiser can be booked under the obscenity Act for playing some of these songs during public gaterings which truly are an assault to ones sensibilities! In the name of personal freedom I suppose they should however be free to enjoy those songs with their sisters or mothers if they so wish and no complaints received from them! Eve teasing is anyway a punishable act only that it seldom gets reported or punished. Laws are in place. People need to ensure their implementation. All the best for it!
