Even i feel this story is somewhat similar like Hum Tum Nitica.But don't forget that this is Ekta Kapoor's show.

hmm...actually nah, Karan knew that love existed he just refused to accept that his friendship with Rhea had crossed into love. Angad on the other hand is beyond confused it's like he's standing in water and denying his feet are wet. (bad example but i can't think of anything) he says he doesn't belive in love while proving blantantly that he is in love. the stories are close...but not the same.
