No they can not . There is no such precedence or any such clause in IPC which can make the judge give such type of verdict. In some cases such thing has happened, which is not in black and white but what was told is that the case has reached out of court settlement or has been withdrawn because the alleged man has proposed or has married the victim or the woman. But that is not in court papers as the person withdrawing the case do not have to give the reasons for the same.

Don't have the details immediately - but there have been instances when the judges have given exactly that verdict - asking the accused if he would like to marry the victim or go to jail - in at least two cases the victims appealed against the said judgment.

yeah they are all fake... as Chitrashi stated the law never allow the rape victims' pics to be circulated in the media
