Just read in the main forum that VD did say in one of the SBS segments that he has been shooting back to back to bank the episodes before he goes on his two week vacation. I kinda sorta predicted that this might be the reason why it looked like he wanted to get it over with the intimate scenes. So, I guess the CVs are not taking any chances with the TRPs and hence VD will continue to grace our screens with his presence even during his two week vacation.

@Bhakti: I watched Geet from the beginning and am watching the re-runs now on Star Utsav.

About DD-GC's chemistry...it started with the Delhi story (that was before his marriage)and with it started all those horrible fangirl demands.
Do you remember what happened as a result...GC's blog created a furore on the forum when they thought he was comparing DD to a stray dog!

Things went bad on the forum but the offscreen masti continued unabated till the Gold Awards when the rumours actually started about their off screen 'romance' with DB getting very 'insecure'...this was months after the marriage.
But, when DB's name appeared as tattoo on his wrist after the awards function (we saw it during a very romantic scene...jarring to say the least), that's when it was clear that GC was reacting to rumour mills. All the off screen masti stopped then and there and he's careful even today not to appear off screen with his current co-star.

VD must have gone through the same grill..didn't watch his previous show but I heard rumours.

Sadly, this is the way some of the young actors react...definitely not Bollywood material...I don't know if it's a-younger-man-married-to-older-woman syndrome...these guys seem to work overtime to make their women feel secure...I actually wonder if these women really need all this affirmation.

It's actually sad that they have to go to such lengths. Is it the fans who can't differentiate reel from real?? Yikes

To answer your question, the fans are at the root of it  but these youngsters (actors) want to make a statement as well..for self affirmation and also to be in the news.

Also, it seems to be the fashion of the day to say things like "We want to die together," (Actually said by Debina and Gurmeet in Gr8 Magazine)  "We never fight..." etc...and PDA is a given. Which is why I like the older generations of actors, Ram Kapoor, Ronit Roy, Hiten Tejwani (with wives from the industry), Iqbal Khan who keep their private lives private..and now Barun Sobti.

Btw, just saw a pic in the main forum,,,,from the Golden Petals awards night where VD actual did the Nargis-Raj Kapoor pose with DD in full public view...off stage.

So, maybe all's not lost, after all!!
