inputting hyperlinks into posts

I've been having this problem for a long time on India Forums hyperlinks

before I was able to type a link and it would immediately identify it was a link to a website and when you post it the link has been made into a hyperlink, then that stopped, so I was using the hyperlink symbol the little world symbol as one of the functions on the title bar of each post, but even that is giving trouble also now, I don't know if you are aware of the problem, could you advise if you are fixing it?
