From what i found out, she could be an amalgumetion of nirrti and patal bhairavi. Nirrti is the vedic goddes of misfortune and death.

May she is just the negative element of the Goddess. Every positive has a negative. So it just my assumption that Patallika is a negative goddess. Or is this a creative take off??
