the first picture is of maa durga. the following 8 pictures are pictures of the 8 matrika's: maheshwari, ambika, aindri, varaahi, brahmaani, chamunda, vaishnavi, narsinghani. I hope someone can tell more about the 8 matrika's. the last 3 pictures are pictures of: maa mahasaraswati, maa mahalakshmi and maa mahakali.
 
does anyone know why the prefix Maha is used?

Something about Ashta Matrikas it's given here
