 POEM FOR ALL WOMEN

when will all this come to an end
when will we get a world where women can live in peace
talk to men with ease
a world where they will never be deceived

when will this come to an end
that India is progressing
how long can we pretend

neither in homes nor on streets
can Indian women live in peace
they are unsafe everywhere
and nobody seems to care

being a girl I can feel
the difficulties that these women feel
a whole life ahead
destroyed within a second

they are humans blood and flesh
with feelings just like men
unfortunately after such incidents
they can't start their life again fresh

everyday I  pray
for a new world
where all women happily will say
"I am proud to be here today"

but never will this be possible
not until we will be responsible
to understand the pain of women                                                                                                                        and give them space
who are considered equal to men

give them respect
let them live
because one little incident
and they will repent
"o why am I woman?"

Neither today nor tomorrow
nor ever
until we give them respect
with fear they will shiver
whenever they are alone

rivers of Ganga, Yamuna all are considered  feminine
so is mother earth and this country of mine
but yet we forget to respect
those who give us the wonderful gift of life
