God..Indian justice system wake the hell up...can't blv these assholes these beats have the freaking audacity to say that they were tortured HELL do they even know what torture means? Apparently inserting an iron rod wasn't torture at all right?...and I can't blv that ppl like us. ppl from this very society. so called educated ppl. ppl who r the beholders of law they THEY have come out in the freaking defense of these beats...I just can't blv this I thought we Indians, we humans couldn't sink any lower but we just did, these beasts shouldn't have been able to find even a single living alive or dead soul who wld come out and speak in their favor but they did...this is our society, this is who we r, this is where we belong...wow...just wow

and I thought that maybe MAYBE this brave girl's plight wld be the very last straw, that the trauma, the horror of the brutality committed on her wld put us all in an eternal, eternal fight for a better, safer, happier world. but no it didn't, it sparked a flame but that flame seemed to have died even before it started, and the beasts and the bas***ds out there r still lashing out like wolves on any and every woman they come across...even when this god's child was fighting for sheer life, even then so many many new cases of this heinous crime, crime against not jsut women but the whole freaking humanity. were witnessed, as if these bas***ds, these monsters don't have any fear or shame or regret...they don't freaking even think ONCE before doing this...why?...coz they freaking KNOW that this is our "beloved" India where they can easily EASILY rape and humiliate and kill a woman in broad day light and escape with it saying "oh she deserved it, oh she asked for it"

this is our society and our system where leaders who r supposed to be the watchdogs of the well being and safety of women say stuff like they won't be responsible for any woman's safety who is walking on the streets after six pm...can u beat this? Utranchal's MLA probably its CM actually said this out loud, he is actually wanting to change the working hours in the state as his way of fighting this crime...he says woman outside their homes after six pm r freaking asking to be attacked...CNA U BLV THIS?...its like our leaders, the ppl we elected, the beholders of democracy themselves r saying woman u have freedom and safety only up to six pm after that if u r right we aren't responsible for whatever that might happen to u

its horrible...its horrible beyond words and I feel hopeless and helpless..m feleing as if nothing wld change ever, as if nothing can change ever...in few more days this girl wld be forgotten, the chapter wld be closed and she wld only live as a horror in EVERY girl's mind and heart, as a constant reminder to them, a constant fear, a brutal shocking and very real possibility threat awareness that this can happen to any freaking one of us at any damned time of the day or night and we wld be able to do absolutely NOTHING abt it...absolutely NOTHING...

u know I try not to think abt this, abt the girl and the horror, the pain, the unimaginable plight she might have suffered because its scary, its way too scary, its more scarier than any horror story I ever heard.it took me a long long time to subside this horrible fear, when I first read abt this I wasn't able to sleep at nights, I couldn't sleep alone and even now I can't sleep without the lights on...so ya I try not to think abt it but somehow in spite of me blocking it my thoughts wonder back here and instantly shivers run down my spine my very bones and m just scared and scandalized for freaking life...

I wasn't afraid before u know? I was kind of a Bond who could go alone anywhere at any time of the day without fretting but now I wld think twice before going out alone specially late, my sister can't even go to the gym alone, hell in such freezing cold weather she gets up at six thirty in the morning and goes to gym because thats an all girls time...yesterday a very very good friend of mine was launching his magazine and he badly wanted me to be there to witness it but I didn't go why? because  the event was in the outskirts of the city almost twenty, twenty five kms away frm my home and I was freaking scared of gng alone and coming back alone, my friend even offered to come pick me but still I felt uncomfortable and so did my parents...my parents don't sleep at night because one of my sisters is in a diff city and they don't sleep till the time she is back home and her doors and windows safely locked, every two hours they keep calling her and if by chance her phone is unreachable or busy or switched off they panic, me and my sister if we r out and we see a group of men near by we get creaped out...we try to avoid any fights or brawls and sometimes even accept unfairness and injustice just so as to avoid any mess or provocations...this THIS is our state of mind right now...we r an educated family...I am a teacher for Christ's sake but look at us we r behaving like cowards but thats what we r feeling right now. and m sure many many families and girls and women out there are feeling the same...helpless, hopeless, unsafe and dejected... and there is no one absolutely NO ONE out there who can give us any sort of assurances what so ever

Six men have been arrested over the rape of a woman on a coach in northern India in an attack which has disturbing echoes of the gang-rape and murder of a student on a New Delhi bus just weeks ago.
The victim was travelling to her in-laws' home in Punjab on Friday when she was allegedly snatched and driven to a district bordering Amritsar, the Sikh holy city.
Five men joined the driver and conductor, who had taken her by motorbike to an unknown address, and took turns to rape the 29-year-old.

Arrest: Indian policemen stand with six men, faces covered, suspected in a gang rape of a bus passenger

Early morning traffic in Amritsar, India, near where a 29-year-old woman was raped after she was abducted from a bus on Friday
They dumped her near her in-laws' village the next morning where she told relatives of her ordeal, police said.
'Six
men have been arrested on allegations of having raped a 29-year-old
woman... after forcibly taking her to an unknown location on the night
of January 11,' local police officer Raj Jeet Singh said.

A seventh suspect is still on the run from the police, he added.
'The lady, after being kidnapped, was raped brutally throughout the night by the seven accused,' he said.
'After
raping the victim throughout the night, one of the accused dropped her
near her in-laws' house the next morning where she narrated the whole
incident to her two sisters-in-law.'

gang-raped and murdered on a moving bus a fortnight earlier

Asked why she had not resisted when she was being taken by motorcycle to the secluded spot where she was attacked, Superintendent Singh said she was 'a bit mentally weak', the Indian Express reported.
The extent of the victims injuries had yet to be established, but an initial examination confirmed she had been raped, the Deccan Chronicle reported.
Local news services are reporting that the suspects have confessed during preliminary interrogations.

The attack is disturbingly similar to the December 16 gang-rape and murder of a 21-year-old student in Delhi, where five men are on trial in a case that has fuelled anger across India over the treatment of women.
Partap Singh Bajwa, a local Congress Party politician, blamed the police for not enforcing stringent checks on buses operating in the state.
'It all happened due to laxity of police as they never bother to check out the buses moving on national highways during night time,' Bajwa told AFP.

Protesters across India have called for the police to be more vigilant and sensitive to the growing incidence of sexual assault against women, after details emerged of the New Delhi attack.
Police and prosecutors have outlined how the alleged rapists picked up the woman and her male companion in a school bus which they had taken for a joyride after drinking heavily.
The bus would have had to cross numerous police checkpoints at that time of night but at no stage was the vehicle pulled over by officers.
After getting into an argument with the woman's male companion, the group allegedly beat him up and raped the victim in the back of the bus while driving around Delhi for some 45 minutes.
They also sexually assaulted her with a rusted metal bar, leaving her with severe internal injuries, before hurling her from the vehicle.
She died in a Singapore hospital 13 days after the attack.

What is happening?  These men have no fear of repurcussions because they know that they will get away with it.  It is the victim that will be serving out the sentence.  Either that or the Nirbhaya/Damini/Ammanat case has prompted more women to come forward to report the crime where as previously they would not have considered it and is the media now making us more aware of the cases rather than allowing them to fall through the net?
On another note, isn't there a legal process in which the lawyers for the accused can be gagged about speaking about the poor girl.  Surely some barristers must be able to invoke a law that would stop more pain being inflicted on the family.  It is not right.  One hopes that this Sharma individual will never get any more work in the legal field.

Makes me wonder...what's the moral responsibility of lawyers representing such criminal cases with overwhelming evidence against them?  What's important: winning a case or representing a case well so that there's no shadow of doubt in terms of establishing their culpability. They get paid for their fees in either case.
