Why is Adam Lanza not a terrorist?

Throughout the net I see it written "A Psycho!", "sick", "nutcase" etc ... I didn't find "terrorist" yet. I must then ask, is this a term booked only for Muslims?

Adam Lanza killed so many children, and there have been other killers throughout the world. Imagine if it was some Abdul Latif instead of Adam Lanza, what kind of reactions would be be seeing online and in the TV? I think its quite clear... we would see a different form of retaliation.

How unjust is that? Lets realize that its sickness which makes one kill another in cold blood, whatever the motive. Its not terrorism if all are not equally terrorist for murder, and its not just sick if all are not just sick!

Whether you kill innocents for religion, anger, nationalism or cummunism or capitalism ... its always terrorism and always sick.

Condolences to the victims of this massacre, and many other massacres that the US is unleashing across the world on the children of other nations and cultures.

maybe because the third guy bombed, I guess terrorism is associated with large scale explosions is many people's eyes?

also, terrorists have more of a religious/political goal.

The previous two guys had actual mental issues.

Terrorists make a conscious philosophy backed action, while the madmen and psychos' actions are backed by mental issues I guess.

Your anger sure is justified and this incident was very sad. But terrorism is a planned act and often more systematic with a set of agenda. Its perpetrated to create fear.

This incident - however brutal the sin was, was none.

They can be considered "sick" but not in the conventional sense.The careful, detailed planning and well-timed execution that have characterized many terrorist operations are hardly typical of mentally disturbed individuals. The mental instability and unreliability of a psychopathic individual would render them unsuitable for recruitment purpose. The terrorist groups would generally look for discreet activists who can merge back into the crowd after the operation.

Terrorism is highly organised unlike the impulsive act of a psychopath. The terrorist have an agenda - usually political, religious, social , regional whereas a clinically diagnosed mentally ill person usually exhibits emotional instability.

I think the killer lanza was taliban spy sent to avenge osama bin laden!!

But US Govt still giving/selling PISTOL, GUN Licenses to the people!?! It is also clear that the supporter of guns never lost his near and dear ones to a killer... okie...for protection allowing people to carry a pistol is understandable, but why are they being allowed to carry larger bore rifles and machine guns? What's the logic in that?!!! the wild wild west that they never give up the Gun... So much for Freedom... so much ...
