Hello Ariyans...I know my title and the prologue has confused u and also left u with so many questions...many of them, i cant answer now...but  u will get answers to those as my story unfolds...this is not a path breaking totally different story...its usual, just trying to make it more realistic and emotional...I hope u ppl like it...

and this first part will definitely give more insight to my story...pls read and comment...

Chapter1:  Jab hum phir milenge

Part A:

3 years later'

ETF office:

"yes Sir'.haan boliye sir'" Arjun's voice faded when the person on the other side of the phone told something'.

Sir, maine pehle hi kahaa tha ke hum aise hi handle kar lenge'..toh phir ek additional person ki kya zaroorat hai??

Comissioner was the other person: Arjun, I know and I trust your words'.par main tum logon par aur pressure nahi dhaalna chahtha'.'.jabse Rathod ko delhi crime branch mein deputation pe bejaa gaya hai, tab se, ETF team over pressured hai''I don't want that to continue'..in the long run, it will affect the performance and morale of the team'..tum logon ka bhi ek personal life hai and usse bhi dhyan pe rakh key eh decision liya hai maine'

Arjun: [understanding his point and concern'.afterall, Shree and Chotu were over burdened too'..and Arjun couldn't take this decision of saying no to a new person into their team'..though his personal life didn't matter so much to him, he had to take care of the other 2 in the team] teek hai'.par ek ladki??'.accha hota agar aap koyi male member ko add karthe'.i mean, main kisi bhi aurat ke khabiliyat pe shaq nahi kar raha hoom'[that statement from Riya was framed in his mind from the day she said that to him, so it jumped out everytime such a situation arose before him]...par phir bhi, aap jaanthe hai ETF kaise pressures pe work kartha hai''koyi ladki, woh bhi shaadi shudha'.can she handle it?? aap ko nahi lagtha ke aap kuch zyaadha hi expect kar rahe hai unnse???

Commissioner: pehli baat, agar woh handle nahi karpaayegi, woh haan nahi kehthi'..khud hi back out karthi''.

Arjun: [snapping him mid way] Sir'.aap mere baat nahi samajh rahe hai'..

Commissioner: hold on Arjun, mere baat poore sunn toh lo'.

Arjun: hmmm'.boliye'..[that hmmm of his shows that he wont be ever convinced with whatever reasons the commissioner gives him']

Commissioner: don't run into conclusions so soon Arjun, you are underestimating her Arjun!!! pichle dho saal se best officer ke medal jeeth chukhi hai Ms Singh''.Sharp shooter hai'..encounter specialist bhi hai''.on top of all that, ek expert forensic doctor hai,  research mein bhi aache hai'[Arjun's mind was sending all types of signals as the list unfolded''but his mind rejected all those saying "how can she be'" he stopped thinking further and focused on what the commissioner said] She will definitely be an asset to ETF''mujhe apne decision pe aur uss pe poori vishwas hai'[He said that with a sense of pride because it was his firm decision that brought a brilliant officer like Arjun to ETF and from there on, there were no downfalls for ETF'..''pausing and adding with a grin]'..and the best part is that your team already knows her'.so uss ke saath kaam karne mein koyi hiccups nahi hogi'..

Arjun: kya matlab??? I mean,

Commissioner:  don't get so shocked Arjun''tum aur tumaare poori team usse jaanthe ho''pehle bhi ETF ka issa reh chuki hai Ms Singh'haan, yeh alag baat hai ke woh tab Ms RIYA MUKHERJI thi'aur ab Mrs Riya Singh hai'..

Arjun didn't hear anything else from the other side'.he was dumbed and deafened for sometime hearing the name''..He didn't realize when the commissioner bid him bye and cut the call''His mind raced backwards in time''.yes'he now understood why his mind was giving him weird signals'..Mr Singh''Mr Suraj Vanraj Singh'yeah, that was his name'.the one who stole away Riya's heart before he could''[Arjun stopped thinking further] It had been 3 years now and he was still mourning over his dead love or was it just dormant?? He didn't want to analyze or do a postmortem into it now'..It was over'..over and out long long time ago'.then why was Riya's name affecting him so much'..But why was she coming here? He was so far in the impression that she was happily working at the research desk of the Jaipur crime cell!! Happy in her life as a princess with her prince charming''who had literally taken her away from him in true royal style'..

But them now how did this sharp shooting skills and encounter specialist, best officer tag come upon her'..Yeah it was true that he had cut off all possible things that could give him her news, her well being, her life was all alien to him etc etc'.he had just closed himself to everything about her'..he didn't want to know then'.or even now for that matter''.Let her live her life happily'..and his grievance for having lost her just because of his own madness and false pretensions shouldn't affect her life in anyway''It was true that he had started loving her long back but only realized it when he saw her nodding "YES" to another person''He had the urge to just snatch her away from that guy and announce to the entire world that she was his, only his'..but what about Riya?? She loved Suraj and not him'..Arjun himself, had lectured her on love and that she would know what love is when she herself falls in love'.and when that was actually happening, how could he snatch that love away from her? No he couldn't and that's exactly what he did too'.He just distanced away and tried to be happy in her new found love and happiness!

After that night 3 years ago, he never heard anything about her''or rather acted deaf to anything regarding her'.Rathod's last taunt still echoed in his ears "kisike dil thodna aur phir uss pe pachthaana'usi mein hoga tumaare interest!!"''he was right, but it wasnt Riya's heart that he broke but he had shattered his own heart''.Wasnt Riya's heart safe with Suraj?? Wasnt that for which he wished and hoped for?

Luckily for Arjun, Rathod never ever taunted him again regarding Riya because Rathod, himself knew that it was of no use now'..there was no point in poking the sore wounds again!''Even when Shree or Chotu brought up her news, he would cut them off with a silent glare or his usual scolding "bakwaas bandh karo aur sirf kaam pe dhyaan dho!"

And Riya had also moved her papers for transfer soon after'.So he was saved of the misery of facing her daily''He still remembered her last day in ETF'She was constantly looking out for an opportunity to talk to him and bid bye but he continuously ignored her and moved away'not because, he didn't want to talk to her but because he never ever say a good bye to her''it was just impossible for him''He had made an excuse of an urgent work and left office without her knowledge''he ignored her calls too and he came back only after she left'''But he had left a note for her in her diary when she wasn't around''.He didn't know or even wish to know if she read it''

"Riya, kabhi bhi apne andhar ke sachaayi aur acchaayi ko bathalna matth'..life ke kisi bhi mod pe apne khaabiliyat aur himmat ko banaaye rakhna'..Wahi yeh tumaari assli pehchaan aur maine humesha se hi usski izzat ki hai!

Khush raho aur sabko aise hi khushi dhethe raho!"

That was his parting note for her which he couldn't tell her on the face'..

My note: ok i want to clarify something...As you read, Rathod is not part of ETF now...he had been sent to Delhi on a deputation since the crime rate had increased drastically there and the department decided that instead of having 2 brilliant officers in one city, it would be better to put them in 2 places...Though, they were against it personally, professionally, they knew that the department's decisions are the best and they have to respect it...So they decide to move on...And now, Arjun is the chief of ETF mumbai and Riya is being added there as the team lacks people!

The story will keep oscillating between the past and present...i will make it as easy as possible...AND A BIG SORRY FOR DISAPPOINTING YOU BY GETTING RIYA MARRIED TO ANOTHER GUY! Well that was the backbone of the entire plot and i couldnt change it...but i will try my best not to disappoint you in my ARIYA moments in the coming chapters!
