It's been six seasons since Bigg Boss, a reality show that locks a group of six celebrity participants unknown to each other, in a secluded 'purpose-built' house, launched in India. And the mystery surrounding the identity of Bigg Boss has continued.
Mirror has learnt that Bigg Boss' voice belongs to Mumbai-based voiceover artiste named Atul Kapoor.
"Several believed that the voice belonged to Mohan Kapur (TV and film actor). But it's actually Atul," says a source about the man who he describes as "affable, and in his mid- forties."
Kapoor, we hear, has been a regular on radio and it was his commanding baritone that made him the perfect choice for Bigg Boss. "His deep, husky voice makes him return with each season. And he's being paid handsomely for it," says the source.
Like the housemates who are kept in seclusion, away from all human contact other than their co-residents, Kapoor too is housed in a separate room in the House which has been set up in Karjat, a two-hour drive from Mumbai. "His location is unknown even to the contestants for the entire duration of the season. The producers and broadcasters have taken care to protect his identity," adds the source.
