Bollywood's dancing diva Madhuri Dixit is a goodwill ambassador for 'Emeralds for Elephants', a project for the conservation of Asian elephants and other endangered species. Always one to connect with her fans, she launched an app that would link with her content. She is now working on Gulaab Gang, a film based on the life of social activist Sampat Pal and her group. In February 2013, she starts shooting for Vishal Bhardwaj's Dedh Ishqiya, a sequel to the critically acclaimed Ishqiya.

Shemaroo Entertainment will also produce Vishal Bhardwaj's next Dedh Ishqiya for a major budget.

The film will star Irrfan Khan and Madhuri Dixit in the lead and will be directed by Abhishek Chaubey

Dunno if this is true...but having a feeling it is...Besides Mads, Naseeruddin Shah & Arshad Warsi if Irrfan's also there in the film then that's too much of talent in DI...awesome Clap and just can't wait for it now... Wink LOL

The Irrfan info is false, its supposed to be Naseeruddin. At one point it was actually Irrfan cast in DI instead of Naseer who wanted to retire. I guess they still have that information.

Item numbers continue to be the unique selling point of Bollywood mainstream cinema.

Even the big daddies continue to make place for that one catchy number in their films. And now, rumour has it that Madhuri Dixit Nene has been chosen to shake a leg with Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukerji's Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

This is a coup as MD is one of the best dancers in Bollywood, and the thought of her joining RK Jr in a jig already has expectations soaring.

Id love that as long as it done well of course. No hippy shaking ala Malaika trying to ensnare a younger guy. In other words: a dancing guest appearance, not an item song.
