Promos of the maha-episode featuring the coming together of the two popular shows Bade Acche Lagte Hain and Kya Huaa Tera Vaada have created ripples far and wide. And maybe, they have even paved way for Ram Kapoor's short sabbatical from the small screen.
But while the viewers of these two shows were amply prepared for what lay ahead ' Anushka Sharma (Mouli Ganguly) shooting at Ram Kapoor ' the hyped sequence didn't happen. Haww! Why? Because, dear readers, just when Anushka pointed the gun at an unsuspecting Mona Singh, the episode ended. Tch tch!
And we were a tad disappointed, even bored, by the slow pace of the one-hour long episode. And while twiddling our thumbs and watching Anushka shoot harmless strangers (a stout lady, a liftman), our mind wandered to the going-ons in Rajat Kapur's (Samir Kochhar) mind. In the last episode, Rajat tried too hard to woo Priya by trying to waltz with her. Not that it made any difference to Mrs Priya Kapoor (Sakshi Tanwar) who had eyes only for her Golu hubby. But it was amply clear that Rajat was in no mood to let go off the idea of romancing Priya in the future.
And he might have a pretty good chance after Anushka pulls the trigger and Ram drops dead. But what if Ram survives? What if he gets well soon and hops out of bed and into Priya's welcoming arms. Apart from yet another love making scene that might be lurking around the corner, we can only think of a heart-broken Rajat turning into a potential Devdas post this twist.
So yeah, when Ram does come in the line of fire, we can almost picture Rajat cheering, "Go for it, Anushka!" He may not do it that publicly, but of course, his heart might just start singing. Now tell us, BollywoodLifers, don't you think Rajat deserves a chance to be happy?
