Mohan may have thought that if he tells the truth now Papaji and Megha wont be able to withstand that pain when they were in Bhopal and this might lead to disclosure..they had to go back and publish it..such major breaking news can be leaked knowing that Dinanath already knew they had come back to Bhopal and sent police for enquiry and all..
Later he did not disclose becoz he had already seen Prateek bluffing him and using him for Dinanath and his purpose...so he might have chose to remain silent...
Seeing such atrocious killing of their son , family might have gone out on berserk and may be barged on Police and all..and then proof might have been detroyed before any disclosure to media or world..
