Raghunandan Tripathi helps those boys get up and gives them his car to go to the hospital. He tells the police that no one is above the law and that they should do their duty.
Urvashi pacifies Karan saying that he should control his anger because the opposition is just waiting for one chance to pull down Priyamvada from the chief ministership. But Karan refuses to understand that his behaviour is tarnishing his mother's image. He tells her that Raghunandan Tripathi is sure to take advantage of this fight to create problems for him. Just then a police officer comes to meet Karan but Urvashi tells him to stay back and goes to talk to the police officer herself.
Priyamvada is sitting in her room and looking at Vir's photo. Kunal comes in and asks her if she is not well…she says that it's just a headache. Kunal tells her that he has thought over her decision, talked to Urvashi about it and that he is ready to give it a try. But he doesn't want any political pressure on him because he cannot work under pressure. Priyamvada agrees and thanks him for accepting her decision.
Kunal gives a presentation to the party workers regarding how he plans to centralize the entire process. He also has some ideas regarding improvement of the traffic and transport system. He says that all this would be possible only if everybody works together and requests them to extend their full co – operation. Karan lowers the mike and tells him that these ppl don't understand this polite language and should just be ordered about. But on seeing the looks on the faces of Kunal and Priyamvada, he walks out of the meeting. Priyamvada tells all the workers that they will be given files regarding the plans and that they should go thru them and should not stop short of criticizing it because her son has made the plans.
Urvashi goes to Karan's rooms and overhears him giving him orders to someone on the phone. She once again tries to explain to him that the way he works – with the 'laato ke bhoot baton se nahi maante' funda – is not acceptable in democracy. Karan replies that for progress India needs autocracy not democracy.
Karan goes to his party office and instructs his workers (read: chamchaas) to evacuate the slum areas. He tells them to do whatever they want – threaten them, beats them etc – but get them out of that place. Chintanji overhears all this and tells Karan that he is wrong in his methods. Karan doesn't listen to him and speaks quite rudely and leaves. He comes home and asks Priyamvada why Chintanji lives with them. He says that as Chintanji is no longer useful he should be sent away. Priyamvada tells him that Chintanji doesn't stay here out of greed for power or money but out of love and affection for them and she doesn't require his permission or assent to make decisions.
Tripathi is sitting in his office and talking to a journo who has published an article about Karan's fight the night before. Karan barges in, holds his collar and tells him that if he tries to play games with him it will not be good for him.
Krishnamurtyji is getting some files signed from Priyamvada and he shows her the newspaper in which Tripathi has written against Karan thru his journo friends and has also asked Priyamvada to step down on moral ground.
