Shantanu Maheshwari... The guy who has taken the whole of the Television Industry by storm... His stint in the currently on air Channel V Show: Dil Dosti Dance is appreciated by one and all. He is thus considered one of the best Newcomer in this industry... He is fondly called as Tannu and Shan by his fans and family. From giving his first shot in 2011, to now, he surely has come a long way...
Shantanu Maheshwari was born on 7th March in 1991 in Kolkata. He did his schooling from Park English School (10th) and St. Joseph's College (12th) and then came to Mumbai for further studies. He graduated from HR College of Commerce and Economics in the year 2012 and currently holds a Degree of Bachelor in Commerce.
He is a part of The Street Soul Dance Crew (SSDC). SSDC is a renowned street dance group in India and has won many of the cultural fests in Mumbai and Pune..Though he has trained in various dance forms, from folk to hip hop, his forte is Popping and is known most for his prowess in improvisation competitions.
He has also modeled for the brand "Riot: Clothes and More" during his college days. He is currently essaying the role of Swayam Shekhawat in Channel V's Dil Dosti dance.
He is the most popular character of this show. The lovable Boy-Next-Door and the Lover Boy Swayam is a simple guy with hidden qualities. He is a brilliant dancer and he is in love with Sharon Rai Prakash. He is an absolutely sorted, philosophical and logical person but when it comes to his love life, it is always complicated. Recently Swayam has got into a trial relationship with his lady love Sharon but misunderstandings still prevail. He is trying to sort them out as well as give his time to his sister Taani, his friends and his dance.

SSDC biggest win has been at Channel V's IndiaFest '11, India's biggest and toughest college festival, where they won street dance. Apart from that, they have won almost all the major college festival based competitions across India. From Malhar( Three years in a row), Kshitij, or Kaleidoscope in Mumbai, to Waves(BITS Pilani) in Goa, to Umang(Bhawanipur) in Kolkata.

Dil Dosti Dance won the award for the Best Youth Show Fiction at the 11th Indian Telly Awards.
Individually
He is the Nokia Indiafest 2011 impromptu champion.
