Smriti Irani, who ruled the hearts of television viewers for a long time as Tulsi in Kyunki SaasBhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, is back on TV as a host for a crime show.
The actor-politician says she will be making a full-fledged comeback on TV soon. Prod her about any projects lined up but all she says is: "By New Year, things should materialise."

are playing key roles in teleserials. "It feels great to see them back on TV. It just shows that stars come and go, but actors always stay. It's the talent which always sustains and good actors never go out of style and out of work. None of us had earth-shattering good looks, but we still managed to create history on screen with our individual personalities," she says.
The actor has been busy with her political commitments and has also worked in regional films. "I did a Telugu film Jai Bolo Telangana
and also worked in a Bengali film Amrita. My mom is Bengali, so the language was close to my heart
and it was a great experience working with veteran actor Victor Banerjee
," she adds.
When she was part of Kyunki Saas..., there had been reports of a fallout between her and producer Ekta Kapoor
. But they seem to have resolved their differences. "Ekta and I are in constant touch
and I feel she has an eye for perfect casting. If she comes up with a role which suits
my image, she will definitely give me a call and I would love to work with her again," says Smriti.
