Diwali fervour grips small screen
Ankita Lokhande
With Diwali fervour grips the country, small screen actors speak about their plans to celebrate the festival of lights.

Pooja Gor
My parents are here in Mumbai, since I wasn't able to go to Ahmedabad. We will be decorating the house for Diwali and I'm going to make some rangoli, I am good at it. I don't like crackers.
Deven Bhojani
On Diwali day, like every year, we will do Lakshmi Pooja and chopda-poojan at our home, where my dad takes the lead. Then I will be visiting my office to attend the pooja there. In the evening, my sisters' families would come over and we have planned to burst lots of crackers on my terrace. Late evening, we all will go out for dinner at a nearby restaurant.
Rashami Desai Sandhu
I'm really excited about Diwali as me and Nandish would be celebrating it together for the first time after our wedding. From exchanging gifts, decorating the house, there's so much to do.
Drashti Dhami
I have been celebrating an environment friendly Diwali with lots of sweets, shopping, diyas and rangolis. This Diwali I request all my fans to have a happy, safe and an environment friendly Diwali as well.
Shrenu Parekh
It was my birthday on Dhanteras so it was a lovely day with my parents and my friends. On Diwali, it will be fun, food and celebration with loved ones.
Manasi Parekh Gohil
I and Parthiv will be spending time with family and friends. Parthiv and I just bought a new house so we will be lighting it up this year!
Manav Gohil
It's my daughter's first Diwali so I am looking forward to celebrate with my wife and daughter. I've been working continuously for past several months, Diwali would be a much awaited break for me.
Ankita Lokhande
I have always loved this festival. Making rangolis and of course bursting crackers are so much fun! The variety of sweets that one has at home, makes this my time of indulgence as it is the only occasion I get to spend time with my family and close friends.
Gurmeet Chaudhary
As kids we used to smear ourselves with sandalwood in the morning and then take a shower. We used to spend our evenings lighting up the entire house with diyas and lights and my sisters would make rangolis.
Ashish Sharma
For me Diwali means complete family time. No matter what I may be doing during the rest of the year, I ensure that I take an off for two whole days and spend them solely with my parents.
Rithvik Dhanjani
Diwali is a very special time for me as I have some lovely memories of celebrating the festival in Dubai where I grew up. My mother is very fond of decorating the entire house with lights and diyas for this festive occasion.
Neha Sargam
I think the kid in me is still alive and I refuse to be just sitting around during festivals. This is the only time of the year when we can have unrestrained fun and not be reprimanded for acting like a kid. Lakshmi Puja forms an integral part of the Diwali function.
Ashish Parekh
Diwali is about celebrations with friends, family and food. This year too we are going to Thailand. So I am going to enjoy with my wife and close friends.
Purvi Doshi
Diwali for me is all about sharing happiness and relaxation. I want my staff and everyone around me to be happy. And I am not a very traditional person. Due to a heavy work schedule, I don't get a lot of time to spend with my family. So this time I am going to spend all my time with them, make rangoli, decorate the whole house with diyas. It is going to be a fun-filled Diwali watching movies and with firecrackers. I am looking forward to socialising and spending quality time with friends and family.
Bhavin Trivedi
Diwali is mostly a lot of work for us! So we don't get time for many celebrations. This time also I am going to just rest and unwind at home, so that I can think about our upcoming new collection. I will read a lot of old English fiction and my old magazines for inspiration. I don't burst firecrackers because I am too worried about the heat and the noise is too much to bear. I have always had pets, so I have never burst a firecracker for the last 10 years.
