He is definitely quitting. He was talking about "long break" only because SP had asked him to shut up till the event. But because of fan pressure SP had to confirm about his quitting otherwise the status would've remained "long break" till the event got over.

Why is he quitting? Of course the show is not making sense anymore anyway. He might be having some scripts in hand.

Barun is not a saint and not a child either. He knows what he is doing. He is a genuine and humble person, so he will never openly say bad things about the PH or SP.

The PH just wants to wash their hands off this mess and the show as well. Hence the interview and those creepy questions... "I made you cry?" question was put intentionally for obvious reasons.

SP can run the show as long as they get TRPs. Giaa was replaced just like that, the show continues with good TRPs. Only difference here is that rest of the cast is quitting as well and the makers admit they have run out of ideas.
