            Arnav's trance was broken by a knock on his bedroom door. Without responding to he composed himself and wiped his tears but before he cud open his mouth to respond, again there was…

*KNOCK**KNOCK*

Arnav: who's it?

From outside: It's me , Chotte!

Arnav(without opening the door as he didn't want his di to see him in such condition): Yeah Di.

Anjali: Chotte what are u doing ? Hurry up we are getting late.

Arnav: What Di did we hv to go somewhere?

Anjali: Unbelievable Chotte! You forgot, u had promised that we both will go together to mandir today.

Arnav: Oh shit….sorry Di it had totally slipped out of my mind .

Anjali(impatiently): So are u coming or not?

Arnav: Ofcourse Di I am coming……u get ready with all the pooja stuff and wait for me downstairs. I will be there in 10 minutes.

Anjali: Okay Chotte make it fast.(with that she went downstairs)

     Back in the room Arnav sighed in relief that he cud compose himself so soon. He pretended to be the same strong ASR in front of all and he didn't want anyone to witness he vulnerable side. However one thing that he openly did now was praying to Khushi's DeviMaiyan. Yes he believed in God now and didn't hesitate to accompany his di to mandir or to attend any pooja. Rather he visited mandir everyday morning but didn't like anyone to accompany him; rarely he agreed to take along Anjali with him that too on her perpetual insistence. Generally he wud go alone and pray to DM to bring his Khushi back to him. Thinking this he again glanced at Khushi's photograph and kissed it. He picked up all her stuff that he had spread on bed on the bed and kept them in their respective places properly. He picked up his towel and went into the bathroom to freshen up and get ready to go to mandir. Today was one of the days that Anjali was hell bent on taking him mandir along with her. And seeing her pleadings he had agreed but somehow it had totally slipped out of his mind which was busy remembering his Khushi.

      Dressed up in his three-piece suit and looking at his BB, he had just descended the the stairs when….*BANG!!!!!!!!* "WHAT THE….."he exclaimed and looked down to see two pair of puppy-dog eyes looking at him which reminded him of Khushi. Before he cud say anything Anjali came rushing towards him.

Anjali: Are u guys alright? (then angrily) How many times hv I told u not to run around carelessly like this….u always end up hurting yourself and others. (She then looked at Arnav and gasped) Chotte your suit!!!

Just then Arnav followed her gaze and looked at his pants which were now dripping with juice. His mind drifted back to the day when Khushi had put juice in his shoes. Unshed tears pricked his eyes while a small smile made its way to his lips. He was brought back to earth by Anjali's angry voice.

Anjali: Annie apologise to ur Mamu now. See u hv spoiled his suit.

Annie (with a pout): Mom u shud scold Ansh too even he was with me.

Anjali: Yes he was with u but he is small , u r elder than him so u shud take care of these things rather than running around and hurting yourself and him too.

Knowing that her mother wont melt, she turned towards her mamu making a baby face silently telling him to save her and Arnav chuckled at her plight.

Arnav immediately took Annie and Ansh in both his arms and kissed their cheeks. Both of the kissed either of his cheeks and then he turned towards Anjali.

Arnav: Let them play around Di they are kids. Plus its their antics that keeps this house lively.

Anjali had tears in her eyes seeing the bond between her chotte and the kids. If only they had believed Khushi then her Chotte's kids wud also hv been playing around with them- she thought.

Anjali: I know chotte but we are already late for mandir and ur suit…

Arnav: That's ok di anything for my cutie-pies.(saying this he placed the kids down and kissed their forehead and the two immediately ran away not wanting to hear any more of Anjali's chiding) Di I will change and be back in 5 mins.

Anjali nodded and went back to get her famous pooja-ki-thali. All the while smiling about the kids antics. It was true that their antics brought back the life of this house. 'If only….'she thought. Annie was Anjali's 5 yr old daughter and Ansh was Payash's 3 yr old son. Although Arnav had distanced himself from everyone after Khushi's departure, yet he was very close to the kids. This is because they were cute and adorable just like Khushi and their antics reminded the family about her. Arnav always buried himself in his work but the little time that he wud get he wud be spending it with Annie and Ansh ; playing with them and pampering them. Payal had not forgiven anyone and she was exceptionally cold to Arnav but she never stopped Ansh to come close to Arnav. Infact the kids were closer to Arnav than their own parents. Anjali knew that her brother was shattered beyond repair but never confronted him about it as she knew that it wud hurt him more.

         Arnav and Anjali went to the mandir and came back in an hour. While Anjali was giving Prasad to everyone she saw Arnav going out with a file in his hand.

Anjali: Chotte where are u going again?

Arnav: Di I hv am important meeting now so I need to go to the clients office.

Anjali: But chotte there are only 2 hours left for the ceremony to start!!

Arnav: Yeah di , I know I will be back before time.

Saying this he stormed out of the door before Anjali cud say anything further. The Raizadas just looked at his retreating back and sighed……some things never change.

Ok so it was a short update basically stating Anjali's and Arnav's present but there is more to it….

A surprise is coming up for u guys…..
