                           CHAPTER 12

                   First of all guys loads of apologies for u all. Hope u forgive me for this extremely late update. Ok don't kill me but this update is a bit short but I promise a longer update soon…..possibly in 2 days. Till then cope with me and enjoy the update.

                    That night Arnav cud not sleep. He cud not stop himself from comparing his bubbly Khushi with the new one. He blamed himself for making her stone hearted but vowed to bring her back to her own self. 'However she maybe she cant stop me from loving her' he thought. Even Khushi was unable to sleep. She may be pretending to be strong and unaffected but deep inside her heart she knows how much she is affected by the Raizadas. She also cud not stop herself from comparing new Arnav with old ASR.

Khushi(self thought): I loved u Arnavji. I loved u a lot and maybe I will never forget u. That is the reason I was never able to give ur place to anyone. But why did u do this to me? U hurt me and u killed my soul and I can never forgive u for that. U may hv changed but its too hard for me change back into my own self. Khushi is dead and she will never come back(Saying this a tear rolled down her cheek).

Next Day………..

Arnav reached Khushi's office at noon.

Receptionist: Sir we cant let u meet ma'm; u don't hv an appointment plz try to understand.

Arnav: Look u call ur ma'm and let her know that I am here , I am sure she will allow me in.

R: Sorry sir but we cant disturb her. She and Lavanya ma'm both r in a meeting and we cant fix ur appointment just like that.

Arnav: Ok then call Mr Mehra here.

R: Sure sir.

The receptionist called Mr Mehra and he came.

Arnav: Mr Mehra I am here to meet Miss K.

Mr Mehra: Sorry sir but ma'm clearly told yesterday that there will be no meetings or negotiations regarding this project. So u can only meet her if u are ready to sign the deal.

Arnav: I know and I agree to all ur clauses. Infact I am here to sign the contract.

Mr Mehra: Ok ASR u wait for sometime ma'm is in a meeting which will be over now and thankfully her next meeting is cancelled. So I will let her know that u are here and inform u if she wants to see u now.

Arnav: Alright I will wait.(Mr Mehra leaves)

Arnav(self thought): I was still doubtful about this deal but the time I knew that my Khushi is KS I am determined to sign this deal no matter what the clauses are. This will let me spend some time with her and I can win her back. To hell with the project and the profit. I just want to bring her back.

Mr Mehra returned.

Mr Mehra: ASR the meeting is over and ma'm has agreed to meet u.

Arnav: Thank u.(Mr Mehra guided Arnav to Khushi's cabin and left)

Arnav knocked the door.

Khushi: Come in.(Arnav entered and hearing his footsteps Khushi asked him to take a seat)

When Arnav pushed the large red door and entered the cabin he cud not stop himself from admiring the dcor of the room and interiors. Hearing Khushi he went and took a seat opposite to her. He cud not see Khushi since she was sitting on a huge white chair her back facing him and she was going through some files. Her large table was made of glass and her laptop and files were neatly placed. The room was huge almost the size of his living room ,interiors were a combination of red and white. He looked around and saw that at one end of the room there was a low tea table made of glass which was surrounded by red couches from three sides and the wall facing it contained a 72 inch LED TV. He looked the other side saw a huge French door leading to a beautiful balcony which overlooked a considerably large part of the city as the office was situated in a much higher floor. He liked the room a lot but was astonished that it was Khushi's choice coz she had always liked colours. Meanwhile Khushi finished reading the files and started talking still not facing him.

Khushi: So u are here to sign the contract I guess since I had made my point crystal clear about the negotiations Mr………

Arnav: Arnav. Arnav Singh Raizada(he said with his trademark smirk)

Khushi(self thought): Oh F*ck!! Not him(she sighed and turned around maintaining a calm posture and smirked back at him)

Khushi: Oh I see Mr Raizada!! I shud hv already guessed it from the way u spoke to me yesterday. Who else than the great ASR wud hv the guts to speak to his sponsor in that manner.

Arnav(he knew that Khushi was taunting him but decided to play along …….after all she was atleast talking to him): Oh then I shud take that as a compliment provided that its coming from KS, the queen of fashion. So thanks for the compliment.

Khushi: Never mind that. So lets come to the point without further beating around the bush.

Arnav: Ok so I agree to all ur clauses and I am here to sign the contract so that the project can begin as soon as possible.

Khushi: Hmm…. That's good for u to agree.

Arnav: Shud I think the contract is mine then?(he said while extending his hand for her to shake)

Khushi: Yes, of course(and she shook hands with him. A jolt of electricity passed between them as soon as their hands met. Arnav was smitten while Khushi just ignored it and withdrew her hands.) Ok so I will get the contract papers ready in ur name till then u can make yourself comfortable(she said gesturing towards the couch)  

Arnav: No thanks I will be fine here.

Khushi: As u wish. Wud u like to hv some coffee?

Arnav: Ya I wud love to(he said cheekily)

Khushi(grunted as she understood his meaning and called up Lav from the office landline): Lav get 2 cups of my usual coffee and one of them shud be without sugar.

Lav: Huh?? Without sugar?

Khushi: Lav just do as I said.

Lav: Ok

     Khushi put the phone down with lot of irritation. Arnav smiled inwardly thinking that she still remembers about his likes but decided not to rile her up by asking anything about it. So he decided to hv a casual chat with her since she was atleast being civil with him today.

Arnav: So how hv u been all these years Khushi?

Khushi: I don't see that its anywhere near to ur business  Mr Raizada.(Khushi said quirking one eyebrow)

Arnav: Khushi, I…….

Khushi(angrily): Its for the freaking last time I am telling u that I don't like strangers calling me by that name. And for the 1^st and last time I am telling this to u that I don't like any sort of personal talks in my office coz the next time u utter something like this, I will make sure u don't see KS Fashions office ever again. I am just being civil to u coz I don't want my personal life to intrude into my professional life so it wud be better if we stick to utter professionalism provided u want to work here in peace.

Arnav(dejectedly): I am sorry. I will take care of that in future .

   Just then Lav walked in with the coffee and instantly realized for whom the sugarless coffee was. She put the coffee on Khushi's desk.

Khushi: Thanks Lav. I need u to prepare the contract papers of the new project right away. We are signing the contract with AR Designs.

Lav: Ok I will do it right away.(She said and moved out of the cabin. 'I am sure ASR wud be thinking that by signing this project he will get to spend time with K and he can win her back but he has no idea what he has gotten himself into ' thought Lav as she went to do her given task).

           Inside Khushi's cabin both Arnav and Khushi sat silently sipping their coffee while Khushi was again busy with her files and Arnav was thinking 'Will I ever get her back? No matter how much she hurts me or avoids me I wont ever stop trying to make up for all my faults.'
