If they cant introduce season culture, they can atleast have some episode bank in advance..!!

Also the thought like TRPs being the sole proof of the success should be changed..!!

EDIT-Earlier,when doordarshan was the only available channel in India, there was no competition at all..weekly episodes were enough to keep the audience happy..
But now getting an initial attention from the audiences' side itself is a very big thing..
So if at all they are gonna introduce seasons, they should make it interesting enough so that the audience will eagerly wait for the next seasons..

PS-I heard that Indian tellystars are paid episodewise,so if monetary issues are considered,I don't know if they will be happy..

i dnt knw abt sallary
m sure they would managed abt story that would b easier to build something to make audiences happy with lets say 23 to 25 episodes by season actors could get a month to relax n then back to shoot with break in between with 25 episodes it would air fr a year ... That would b the solution fr everyone us who would get interviews n no replacement in shows ... Atleast abt the leads

I think the problem with IPKKND is that it's story is focused only on two characters. Writers failed to develop other characters  and so all burden came on to the lead actors. I believe that is the reason for Barun's exhaustion, besides his involvement in other events/movies.
I do agree that having seasons may generally help TV industry but there is lot of difference of perception of TV in India and in the US. TV actors in the US get compensated very well and they are considered nowhere less than movie actors. Production values are high and they are compensated very very well to stick with a successful show for years and not get  tempted to move on.

After reading someone post (will post link laterm on ma phone) we knw that barun is mentally n
physically exhausted thats what made me wonder
what our fav actors r going through ?
They need break time to time nt one simple day bt real break
And daily soaps in tellywood dont give it to them
and nt only that as audiences watching daily we r becoming addicted and when it has to come to an end or has to subbish changes we r against it

so wouldnt it b easier fr us n actors to go the american way ?
Yup american serials r getting great response and actors rnt exhausted
why telly isnt ding the same thing has them
wouldnt it b easier fr them n us if they did seasons ? We would b assured that the show
would run longer barun sanaya or who ever else would b able to singn other projects and do bolly audiences wouldnt b as addicted as we r now ...
N we would have got arhi fr minimum 5 seasons means 5 years
i really think indian telivision world need changes ... Barun proved it to us

i knw i wont get much answers from u ppl aas u r more bsy thinking abt what hit us all bt needed to say it
sorry fr the mistakes

I agree,  I remenber Barun said something about it sometime back.  He said working in a daily soap in india is very exhausting as they have to churn out 5-6 episodes every week without breaks or even festive holidays.  He wished there were weekly serials instead of daily serials (something on that line .. I dont remember the exact lines).

I'm not sure whether I would like the season format because there are more chances that I (and maybe other viewers) might not wait for a second season. And once I lose interest in a show, I don't go back to watch it instead I might have moved onto another show by the time a next season comes.

Instead I think, shows should have a fixed limited duration and story should be set in such a way that it finishes within that time. Then actors and those involved would know that the show would run for these many days/months and when the show ends they can take their break. Maybe another thing that can be done is that shows should have enough no. of bank episodes so that they don't need to be shooting till the last minute, trying to reach deadlines... then it won't be this hectic for them and we would get better quality episodes...

You are absolutely right. Here there may be actors who like the idea of being employed throughout the year rather than being out of work for 6 months. There is also a possibility that a PH might feel that the audience might lose interest in a particular story.
Having said all this ... in case this becomes the norm actors, PH and audience alike will get used to the idea.

But one thing to be noted is that soaps everywhere in the world r an everyday telecast, be it Bold and the Beautiful in USA, Easyenders, Coronation Street in UK or Neighbours or Home and Away in Australia but the the difference is that all the characters r fully developed and there r 3/4 stories running parallel in every episode.

The biggest pbm with IPK is that the cvs didn't develop the other characters, if they would have done that then Barun hadn't been so over worked... Before the departure of Akshay and deepali they could have atleast the scope of 4 parallel stories... Akash/Payal, NK/his heroine,Anjilli/her hero and Khushi/Arnav... Secondly they could have made a bank of episodes so that the lead pair could get some respite.

Lastly the actors have to understand that its a cut throat industry and to survive here they have to be work long hours and has to sacrifice a lot of personal times... I know it's horrible but its what tv industry is like or for that matter even Bollywood is as well... U get very less ME time but this is like everywhere in the world and in every field... Jobs r scarce nowadays and people r doing everything to hold onto what they've got, my own cousin is a senior eye consultant in London he works 6 days a week, leave at 7:00 in the morning and come Back at 20:00/20:30 at night... I know it's unfair but survival is very hard nowadays... Barun is lucky that he could take a break and can come back to a job not everyone can afford this luxury.

I agree..but creating screen space for payal and akash using bubbly track and chameli ka tel track was an utter failure..But before the contract wedding phase, the side characters were given enough importance and did not appear to be forced on us..
Same with Anjali's case..we might have watched it with patience if negotiation fiasco wasn't made public..I am saying this because people somewhat became impatient after that prolonged kidnapping phase and couldn't bear with anything other than rabba veys on top of that all those Daljeet quitting issues and all..so naturally side characters lost their importance..

Then Barun's case..there might be some situations in our life where we can't help but say 'I quit'..
He might be tired or unfit..it happens..!!!He might be wanting some time with his family..poor man might be feeling exhausted and might be missing a normal life..maybe he wants to try a hand in bollywood..nothing wrong with that..looking for a better option is a normal thing to do..!!
But the saddest thing is that his career decision affects so many people's idea of entertainment..!!That is the difference between normal jobs and entertainment industry.!!
