On the surface A and G were very similar and that's he fell for her.He thought she was just like A and educated too.
Disparity in their life styles education led to communication gap which led to adultery and down fall of J.
The main reason for the failure of their marriage was communication gap but adultery issue hijacked the show.
So that's why I wanted communication between A and J post their divorce and mutual separation of J and G.
