King Bhaiyya, one would assume you could not watch the entire quote of Sidhu in that Katghara because if you had, there would have been ONE LAST LINE, that entirely changes, even the interpretations drawn in so many subsequent pages after your quote on the top post of this thread.Smile

Here I go...

First. I press my Isko Laga Daala Toh Life Zhinga Lala, Tata Sky HD...Play-Pause-Type-Play-Pause-Type to quote the exact text as spoken (King's version, though covers the gist a great deal;, is actually still a distortion...just pointing out because if you need to dissect, atleast go for quote AS IT WAS)Smile:

"""Physical violence se zyaada----dukh---gaaliyaan pahunchaati hain!-----Main aapko phir bata doon------Physical violence ke ghaav bhar jaate hain-------------is baat ko yaad rakhna------------lekin, jo ASHLEEL SHABDON KE GHAAV HAIN...(he is referring to Sapna's you are a coward---aap mere liye marr gaye hain outburst)-------woh umr bhar--dil mein---naasoor ban-ke rehte hain------------------aur woh sorry kehne se theek naheen hote--------------------------kai baar--jo jazb aur jabt...BADA BHAAI karta hai-----uska matlab ye naheen hai, ki uske andar koi bhaavna naheen hai! (indicating Sapna's words did hurt him deeply)-----------------------Ki main patthar ka hoon, ya Niketan Patthar ka hai...ya ye duniyaa patthar ki hai--------------ki tum kisi ko bhi kisi bhi waqt oonchi aawaaz mein-----chaahe woh Sidhu ho, chaahe woh Niketan ho----kisi waqt bhi bula logi aur woh women empowerment hai-----------WO WOMEN EMPOWERMENT NAHEEN HAI!!!!!-----------------Kyunki woh, auraton ke liye ek galat udaharan hai------------aur aurat ka agar sabse bada aabhooshan hai Sapna-----aaj main bade shaant svabaav se tumhein bol raha hoon wo Lajja hai------------Kyunki jis aurat mein lajja naheen----ASHLEELTA HAI------------us aurat ko, kaheen naa kaheen, koi guidance ki zaroorat hai----------------isliye main tumhaare saath har jagah khada rahoonga!-------------------BAHUT BAHUT DHANYAWAAD!!!!"""

When you read the sentence--Jis aurat mein lajja naheen---ASHLEELTA HAI---------------------------------that itself settles it fair and square!Tongue

In the context of his complete statement, what it obviously means is one who doesn't exercise restraint in her approach...is crude and loud in her way of speaking...(her because he is addressing it to Sapna)...needs guidance (counseling / support..call it what you may).

In this conversation ASHLEELTA doesn't mean starring in porn films just as LAJJA doesn't mean coyly looking at your toe nails and blushing non stop!

Atleast quote the full quote Sir ji...Tongue

Case Rested!Smile

Case Rested ROFL

Cruiser ji whenever you defend Siddhu ji, you simply make me laugh literally, no jokes LOLLOL

Anyhoo, my topic still stands there since my issue is with the stereotypical statement we get to hear from various backgrounds, Siddhu ji or no Siddhu ji. And anyways that statement did come outta his mouth Wink

I did not defend anyone...a misquote has been dissected, distorted and misinterpreted for so many pages, I have merely pointed out what the exact quote was. If you want, you may consider posting the exact quote on top post atleast so that many who have blindly believed misquote to be the true version, may atleast read what exactly it was. You can surely check it on You Tube or wherever the full vid is available. Smile

If a misquote was credited to Sana or Urvashi and if I noticed it was a misquote, I would point it out for you to reconsider your interpretations once again!...No where in my any post I have eulogized Sidhu on this thread in any manner!...But having seen him speak the entire quote,I think he spoke superbly...considering he spoke non stop and extempore!

Sidhu was so right when he was pointing out to Sapna 1.people like Sapna are a big threat to the whole feminist movement, since they make hue and cry and blame it everything on males who is a general scapegoat of their daily lives frustrations, their lives -that only know taking and taking, they squander their gender card on frivolous happening like this, she unduly called out Niketen and the other fella for gender discrimination, she was angry and mad about losing the task and she hurld a barrage of reproaches on everyone she could,in general wily people like her are the 1st to take resort in low politics like this,is not only restricted to the gender but goes way beyond to other avenues like cast and creed, region and religion well these are other things i shouldn't mix up with bb6 albiet they exhaust every single advantage that they could from being a women so much that when a real needful woman gets in trouble people look at her with suspicion, tis' only a mattr of tym when society is goin to fed up wid ths Chit

Btw, Cruiser ji. I just read the quote again. This part is missing. Based on this, this is how I interpreted it. Siddhu is basically saying Sapna doesn't have Lajja but Ashleelta and thus he is being the guidance and support of her. Are you sure you want me to add this bit. Cuz this is quite judgmental of him of say. And yet again, I do not agree with him.

"Kyunki jis aurat mein lajja naheen----ASHLEELTA HAI------------us aurat ko, kaheen naa kaheen, koi guidance ki zaroorat hai----------------isliye main tumhaare saath har jagah khada rahoonga!-------------------BAHUT BAHUT DHANYAWAAD!!!!"""

No Sidhu surely did not mean what you interpreted here!

His statement is in view of a specific instance (that Major Saab task for which he is in Katghara...

He is confining himself to a specific instance where Sapna went ...overboard-crude-ashleel-foohad...take your pick...and he advises a better restrained-calm-peaceful-patient-lajja-yukt-dheer-ghambeer-shaant...take your pick...approach as a better one!

** As I said before if we nit-pick, then ASHLEEL means vulgar just as LAJJA means (full of) Shyness! Neither meaning is applicable in this quote...100%

I have been saying this since season 2, I think. Women scream equality and yet love reservations in buses/trains/jobs etc. Why? Makes no sense. That's why, like Chandu said, I didn't support Sana/Delu's behavior the other day too. When they do the tackling/gheraoing it's termed 'fun' but when a guy does the same it's manhandling. W*F!! And when empowered women like Sapna talk thus, it reeks of hypocrisy and double standards. Vaise sab rights chahiye but act like a gentleman coz I am a WOMAN. Fine, I like a gentlemen too...who doesn't but when you're screaming about equality at the top of your lungs, why suddenly get all lajjadhaari and play the woman card? Ermm It happens every season. Standard dialogue hai BB mein 'Pehle auraton se baat karna seekho. Izzt karna seekho'. Arrey, tum badtameezi karo toh allowed, coz you're a woman and when a man gets mad, he's not behaving appropriately? Ermm Ermm

Similarly I don't buy this lajja crap from Siddu. Why should a woman behave with lajja? Why can't we behave like men do? Why do men want bindaas girlfriends but want a nice lajjo wali wifey? Double standards! Dignity and grace is something that should be expected from both men and women, not women alone. Siddhu, the great orator, used the wrong word. This lajja, gehna crap is so old, it's got anti-wrinkle cream all over it.
