Frankly SOS is not a make or break movie for Ajay. But yes, there are other small film-makers who's movies have been crushed by the big production houses because of monopoly. They did not have the power/clout to take on the big guys.

Ajay's stand in this will benefit the other small filmmakers... Ajay could have just shut up on the whole issue or he could have moved his release date... And what would have come out of it... YRF and its dubious ways would have been pushed under the carpet and again they would still continue their monopoly and crush small unknown films along the way... Hopefully after this episode the smaller filmakers too will be vocal abt it and make their voice heard.
Kudos to Ajay for sticking to his conviction and fighting it out... Thumbs Up

Problem is Ajay himself is one of the monopolistic players in Bollywood. So another time it will be interesting to watch someone else drag him and other Bollywood biggies to the hole he has dug for YRF. TongueInstead of thanking him Bolly types would then be cursing him. As they say...ghar ka bhedi lanka dhaye...

Maddy...its not about monopoly...ADF is as big a giant if not bigger than YRF...Its all about doing good business vs. bad business...when is any kind of business...u have to be able to look beyond the current situation...YRF is doing nothing wrong here...ADF overlooked the fact that YRF will also be releasing the movie in Diwali...it was no secret was it??...ADF should have taken all the necessary measures long time back...Business is not run according to one's whims and fancies...it requires a lot of planning beforehand..

Yes, ADF is a big production house unlike the small filmmakers who just shut up and let YRF and other big production houses have their way...

Another big gun was needed to question the ways and I am glad this issue is out in the open... Only some one with equal power and clout can take it up with another person who has power and clout...

Its not abt these two movies... Look at the bigger picture... Bcoz of monopoly, so many smaller films dont even get a fair chance... Atleast this way if even one small filmmaker is benefitted out of all this, its still worth it...

Ajay is firm on his decision. No doubt JTHJ would earn much more than SOS as its last movie of yash ji and big stars part of the movie. But its all about fair and and unfair.

In an interview ajay said its not about hit and flop or SRK vs Ajay Devgan. Its all about justice.

Agree its not happening for the first time but there is nothing wrong if ajay devgan dont wish to take it lightly or for granted.

Yash Ji was very honorable person and amazing film maker. Its his last film and i want it to perform well on BO but not at the cost of loss of other films.

Ajay is no saint... I am just supporting his stand on this issue... Its just that his stand on this issue will benefit the others small filmakers who fear taking a stand on the bigger ones...

Having observed Bollywood for a while IMO given a chance most small players would want to be in the shoes of a KJo or Adi Chopra. I mean look at Anurag Kashyap...messiah of indie cinema hobnobbing with bigwigs today. The small time producers/film-makers simply bide their time to get into the big league rather than get into a fight with the big shots. I really doubt this will benefit anyone apart from SOS and JTHJ.

There is a principle in law...its called the CLEAN HANDS principle...which means that if one wants the legal system to help them ...they need to have their hands clean first...which ADF doesn't have...
What you are suggesting here Maddy would be done in a a Socialist country...not in a democratic country like USA or India...its not called being monopolostic ...its called doing excellent business as long as one is playing by the rules of the law...if what Ajay is asking for...is done ...that will be the DEATH of the free business...and we will become another China...

If at all YRF has done anything against the law...they should pay the price ...if not then...booking the maximum numbers of screen that they could ...falls under the category of GOOD BUSINESS and nothing else...

OK maddy...on the same grounds ...can the small time actors ...ask the biggies like Salman, Akshay, SRK , Ajay and Amir...to not do any films for the next two years...so that the small time actors can have a fair release of their movies...would that be fair????
