Greed, avarice, and insane, blind obsession of power makes human beings so evil that they can push other hapless human beings to the absolute limits of despondency.
Is it that easy to prove a living being as "dead", and grab his or her wealth and property? Apparently it is! As Mr. Mohnish Bahl emphasizes, over 50,000 people in the state of Uttar Pradesh alone are trying to fight this ridiculous battle ' to prove that they alive! Face to face with abject despair' is there no way out of such ridiculous situations? Why should a living human being be in this absurd situation of having to prove to the world that he is alive?
Wives are abandoned and declared as dead because the husbands want to remarry! Brother "signs" his brother's death warrant so as to grab that extra square of land. To deviously grab another's property through fraud it is actually possible to fabricate such a vile network of subterfuge that people are conveniently declared as dead! It sounds absurd that such frauds can actually be perpetrated and that the protagonists can succeed!
A fake death certificate is that easy to generate? Such is the shameful face of corruption in our country as Mohnish Bahl, the anchor of the show highlights.
Shyam Vilas Yadav lost everything he could call his own' a victim of blatant cheating and fraud he was caught in a web of deceit. His wife died of tuberculosis as he reeled in abject poverty and fought desperately to prove himself alive' he fought the system relentlessly. After several years of unbelievable struggle and against all conceivable odds he could muster the support of others who were suffering in the same situation. They formed the "Jeevit, Mritak, Sangh", a voice that knocked on several unyielding doors before their protest caught the public eye, and their endeavour to "Fight Back" succeeded.
But the question here is ' for how long are human beings going to cheat each other? Is there no respite? Can humanity never live in peace and harmony? Is this in itself a contradiction in terms?
