SEX as a priamry need of human

Does sex or having sextual satisfaction really is a priamry need for human Male and Female? Does it as nessasary as primary needs like Food , water , air without which one can die????? i dont think so one can die wid out having sexuual intercourse or blah blah den why some writers and philosopher make it a priamary human need ?

A person won't die without sex, but without sex the human race will eventually die. Unless of course we master the Bokanovsky process.

Just like thirst and hunger, sexual desire comes natural to humans. Biologically nature created us to desire it. It is not exactly a necessity to live, but it is a basal human need. I don't think intercourse is exactly necessary, many people live without – but some sort of gratification is usually needed whether in the form of mental imagery or self satisfaction. Psychologists have found that complete suppression of the human sex drive can lead to psychological damage, deviant or abusive behavior.

Ooo... one more topic related to SEX.

I think , now, it depends from person to person.. these writers felt sex was essential need. YOU on the other hand think people wont die without it .

I... I dont think anything about it LOL

To think you cant live without something depends on your mind/mentality.

It is one of the primary need of Debate Mansion for sure. lol.

@ topic: primary human needs are divided into basic and specific.

a - Basic human needs include air, water, food, shelter, clothes. They are universal and needed for survival.
b - Specific human needs are specific to individuals. Physical intimacy fights into this category in my opinion. One of my primary specific need is music. My new favorite is jee le zara

So many sex topics! I am new here, so I will take the word of old members that it is a trend. LOL

No, it is not a primary need, you won't die without sex. But it is recommended for mental health. It can build up as frustration. At least men will get a release automatically in sleep if they don't have sex or masturbate for long times.

As OBJ says, it's Sex, God or some India-Pakistan issues that make DM go around...but to be honest, sex, religion/God and political issues are also the most widely discussed issues all around the world. DM is part of that, right. LOL

Well having a release or even masturbation is the physical part, I think as hard as that can be one can still live without that. But sex is also very much important for mental health. Life long celibacy, repression etc never result into anything good. This is why I am of the opinion that the sexually repressive culture causes more damage to one than even sexually promiscuous one does.
