Hello Arjunians...i am back with part 3...hope u like it...as i said earlier, its has a bit of poignancy in the storyline but i hope u understand the need for it...

thanks for all the encouraging comments and likes...hope i write up to ur expectations!

Part 3:

 Arjun and Rathod reach the hospital where Jyothi is admitted'.

They enquire at the reception and walk to her room……Jyothi's parents are standing outside the room…...Arjun and Rathod introduce themselves……

"ETF……yeh case ab hum handle karenge"……..The parents sported a blank look when Rathod announced that…..they stood still without a change in expression……as if their whole world had come shattering down and all these things don't matter to them anymore!

Arjun: humhe Jyothi se kuch baatein karni hai……

Rathod: [consolingly] dekhiye hum samajhthe hai ke yeh sab aap keliye thoda mushkil hai par hum waadha karthe hai ke apraadhi ko hum dhoond nikaalenge…..

As Arjun and Rathod try to enter, the nurse comes running….."sir, aap andhar nahi jaa sakthe……patient sedation pe hai aur Doctor ne kisiko bhi andhar jaane se manaa kiya hai"

Arjun: [not trusting the sedation part] look, usse milna humaare liye bohat zaroori hai…..agar woh kuch bolengi nahi, hum kaise usse insaaf dilaa paayenge…..

Nurse becomes silent yet not convinced but the men enter in…..

Jyothi's state shook the two rough and tough men top to bottom…….She looked like a torn cloth, with bruises and blood shots all over her face and arms…….some of the major cuts were bandaged while some minor ones were left open…….her face was pale and eyes shut closed…..She looked close to dead…just a breath in random intervals was proof to her mere existence……an evidence that she was still alive…….a IV inserted to her vein was continuously giving her the fluids and medicines……

They didn't dare to wake her up……atleast she looked peaceful in sleep……waking up and regaining consciousness would be her worst nightmare……

Rathod: Arjun tum yahi rukho...main doctor se milkhar aatha hoom…..unse bhi baat karna zaroori hai……

Arjun stood a few inches away from her and examined her face and hands……..he wished to get ample clues without even talking to her and torturing her…..the human in him was hell shocked at her state……..he had an urge to break the bones of the person who had done this to the poor girl…….he wondered how someone could be so ruthless and sadistic…….torturing and pushing someone to this state can be done only by someone who is more of a animal than a human…….a man with no heart…..a man who had no emotions…a man who had no empathy for fellow human beings…..a man who played with another life didn't deserve to live….Yes…he deserved death or a punishment even worse than death……Arjun swore to himself that he would track down whoever did this and punish him!! He wouldn't rest till then!

As he looked closer, he saw a embossed  mark on her neck…….no it wasn't a wound…..it was some symbol…..perhaps from something worn by the culprit which left its mark on her when he forced himself on her……..Arjun felt that this was perhaps the most important clue at the moment…….a breakthrough!

He didn't think further but took his mobile and tried to take a quick snap………."Woh abhi mari nahi, zinda hai……!"

An angry sarcastic voice broke the silence the room and also made Arjun turn to the direction……The doctor followed by Rathod enter…..

Doctor:  What were you doing??? Who gave you the permission to step inside this room?

Arjun:  madam, plz cool down…..hum ETF se hai aur humhe humaari duty karne keliye kisike permission nahi chahiye……

Doctor: [fuming] meri patient hai woh……aur main aisi haalat mein usko aur stress nahi deh sakthi……zinda laash ke tarah padi hai aur aap usski photo keech rahe hai…woh bhi binaa kisi permission ke……how disgusting!!!

Arjun: mind your tongue madam……agar Jyothi ko insaaf dilaana hai toh humein yeh case solve karna hoga….aur uskeliye yeh sab toh…..[the doctor snaps in]

Doctor: [sarcastically] aap ko yeh bas ek case hai jisko solve karke sabke nazar mein super cop ban jaayenge……case solved, file closed….. ETF will get another golden feather in its cap …...just as simple as that……

Sameer pitched in "aap kehna kya chahthi hai madam??? Ke hum case na solve karein"

Doctor: kya insaaf dilaa paayenge Jyothi ko??? jo uss ne koya hai, kya woh waapas deh paayenge??? Uske dard ko mitaa sakhenge?? uske maasoomiyat ko waapas kar payenge??...NAHI kabhi nahi!!! Uss jaanvar ko sirf kuch din, kuch mahiney ya phir kuch saalon tak jail mein daalenge…..phir woh aazaad ghoomega,….apne life ko mazae se jeeyega…..par tab bhi yeh ladki ghut rahi hogi!!!"

The doctor was having tears in her eyes as she glanced at Jyothi once…..

Arjun stood there, a bit taken aback by the outpour……He understood that she was going beyond the limits of a doctor and was taking it into a personal level……but whatever she said was right……though she vented it out in anger, there was truth in every word she said…….There was something more to this woman than what met his eyes……She was strong yet weak and vulnerable emotionally…..she sounded similar to someone he knew very well…..

Sameer: [consoling as he saw the tears] look Dr….[trying to read her badge when she introduced herself "Dr Reva Sharma"] Dr Sharma……hum samajhte hain ke yeh case bohat hi sensitive hai par….

Reva: [composing herself back and hiding her tears behind a slight frown…..she realized that she vented out on them unnecessarily]   I am sorry……kya hum mere cabin mein jaakhar baat kar sakthe hain…..jab Jyothi ko hosh aayega, tab uske bayaan le leejiyega….

[She walked out without turning back even once just expecting the men to follow her……]

At her cabin……

Reva: [after a deep sigh] I am sorry once again….maine bewajah aapke…..

Arjun: [snapping her] its alright madam…[coming to the point]…aap kuch bathaane waali thi……

Sameer glared once at Arjun for sounding insensitive and snapping her in between…

Reva: [curtly] haan….wahi bathaane waali hoom! Multiple rape hua hai….

[The men are a bit shocked to hear that……it makes the case even more complicated]

Sameer: WHAT??

Reva: Yes….. it's a gang rape…..aur usse bohat torture bhi kiya hai……She is in a state of shock…….teen baar hosh pe aayi aur teeno baar bohat violent thi……humein forcefully sedate karna padaa……bechaari, bohat thadpi hai……

Sameer: aapki report ready hai??

Reva: haan……par maine abhi tak kisiko koyi report ya statements nahi di hai….subah se phone pe phone aa rahe hai….newspapers, news channels…..sab ke sab vultures ke tarah uss ladki ko torture karne pe thuley hai…….isiliye jab maine aap logon ko dekha toh control nahi kar paayi…..

Arjun: maine kahaa na madam, its ok……we understand…..

Reva: sab ek ladki ke laachaari aur behbasi ko breaking news banaana chahthe hai…..kisiko usske parwa nahi……yahaan tak uss ke parents bhi…[pausing and muttering under her breath]…..apne beti ki nahi,  pariwaar ke izzat ki fikhar hai!!……

Sameer: [trying to bring back the focus to the case] doctor, isske saath aur ek khoon bhi hua hai…….Jyothi ka boyfriend Ashwin ka…..kya Jyothi ne kuch bhi sikhr kiya??? Ya phir, kissne uske saath yeh kiya?? Aisa kuch????

Reva: nahi…..aisa specifically kuch nahi…….she just keeps screaming to leave her……aur agar hum paas jaayen toh humme maarne lagthi hai…….bohat darr gayi hai! She is afraid of people……isiliye maine visitors ko manaa kiya hai……[pauses for sometime]

Arjun: [breaking the silence] aap aur kuch bathaana chahthi hai???

Reva: [cursing his insensitive attitude in her mind] nahi…..

Sameer: [getting up] ok doctor…..aap report ready karke deh deejiye, hum phir aayenge…

[Just as they begin to leave, nurse rushes in saying that Jyothi is back to senses and is screaming again]

They rush to the room which is now kind of crowded with spying press reporters and photographers…..

Reva: attiya……plzz….attiye….yeh kya kar rahe hai???….[nobody moved out……but suddenly she felt a strong hand sidelining her and rushing inside forcefully…..

ARJUN RAWTE, the cop was on fire now…..he spit fire as he cleared them away from her bed side……He rushed to Jyothi's side……in her violent state, the hospital gown she wore had slid down a bit from her shoulder …..she didn't even realize it and all the photographers were having a great time shooting it…..Arjun forcefully made her lie down and pulled up a sheet and covered her till her neck…….And he gestured the doctor to give sedation……together they managed to control her and sedate her again…"dhoor hojaa mujhse''chod dho'.chod dho'' her loud screams now became mere whispers that escaped her lips as she slipped back into sleep….he turned around to the people there…..]

Arjun: [showing the ID] ETF!! All of you delete those photos right now……nothing of what you clicked goes out of this room…[glaring at them]…samjhe ya samjhaavum???

[Some obliged fearing him…while some didn't…..He and Sameer made sure none of the photos went out…….There were opposing remarks and usual threats from all over but Arjun didn't care about anything…..

Reva was slightly impressed at his sudden sensible behavior "Who is he in real?? Jo thodi dher pehle most insensitive and arrogant lag raha tha….ya phir yeh jo, sensitive, sensible aur caring hai!...Covering up Jyothi as if protecting her from the prying eyes was the reason for the new admiration for this man in her eyes……]

As they left, Arjun told Sameer "yahaan pe 24 hrs security hona chahiye Rathod…..koyi bhi bina permission ke andhar nahi jaayega……press toh bilkul bhi nahi!"

Sameer nodded as he reversed the SUV…..
