Part 5

Krishna and Pratigya were asleep more or less in each others arms.. in the night they both got up a least 5 more times. Even now Krishna was shattered, after every feed he helped Pratigya by winding the baby, whilst she caught up on sleep. He was doing his bit as a father. It was 8am  and there was a knock at the door. Krishna and Pratigya didn't hear  it. Kesar walked in with a tiffin.

Kesar: Partigya bechari.. ee dono to thak gaye.. then she went to the nursery bed and saw the baby wide awake, when she saw Kesar she cried being a new face to her.

Kesar: Elle elle.. ka huwa.. she picked up the baby from the bed and cradled her.

Pratigya and Krishna hadn't flinched it just showed they were in deep sleep. Kesar went next to Pratigya.

Kesar: Partigya, Partigya tumre beti ka diaaper badlna pade hai..

Pratigya stirred.. and her eyes opened she saw Kesar holding her baby.

Pratigya: Aree didi, she sat up in the bed.

Pratigya:aap kab aye?

Kesar: abhi abhi, tum dono ke liye amma ne tiffin bheejha hai.

Pratigya: thanks didi.. pehle mein inki diaper badal do. She gave the baby to Pratigya.

Kesar: hum tumri madat kardete hai. She smiled.

Pratigya cuddled and kissed her baby's cheek then laid her on the bed..

She began to change her diaper.

Krishna: ee baas kahe se ayi kucho bhava? He woke up feeling disoriented from the whiff of a dirty diaper.

Pratigya: Kuch nai Krishna bas tumri rajkumari ne potty ki hai bas. Kesar threw the diaper in the bin.

Krishna: Accha,kesi ho boujayi, aur ghar pein?

Kesar: theek hai.. sab log ana chatte to the lekhen humne mana kardiya kyunki nay bache ka ana ke kitni thakaan hoti hi humo ee sab kuch jante hai.

Krishna: Accha bhava, sab aye to bak bak kare ke hamri chate pe char jate.. he said rubbing his eyes.

Pratigya: Yeh hogaya. She said as she buttoned up the body suit. She then lifted her  up by the waist and rocked her while one hand caressed her head and the other rubbed her back.

Krishna: Accha babu ab hume do humri betiya goud mein lete hai thodi der.. he said carssesing the baby's cheek.

Pratgiya: yeh sab kuch thek hai lekhen pehle tum nalo.. phir mein jate hoon tub tum apne gudiya ka saath dher saara khel na.

Krishna: Accha theek hai jate hain nane.. Krishna grabbed his toiletry bag, towel etc and went into the bathroom.

Kesar: Kese ho.. bahut kamzoor lage re ho.

Pratigya: Haa didi thakan to bahut hai, kal raat yeh panch baar uthi thi..

Kesar: kono chinta ne karo, din pe din oo kam jagegi jab unka  pet bhara rahe ga tab. She said caressing the baby face.

Kesar: Aur baba madat kar ra hai?

Pratigya: Didi sach mein Krishna ne bahut madat ki kal raat, mere aakh to lag gai aur isne isko sulaya.

Kesar: Baba tumo bahut he pr-em karte hai Partigya, tum bahut naseeb dar ho ke tumo baba jaisa pati mila.  Krishna heard it all as he came out of the bathroom wearing a red shirt and jeans.

Krishna: Ne boujaye humo bahut nasseb dar hai ke babu humre jhindagi mein ayi.. Pratigya shared a eye lock with her husband and smiled at him the smile was returned.

Kesar: Accha tum dono betho hum nashta tyaar karte hai..

Pratigya: Theek hai didi, Krishna tum kahna shuro karo mein naa ke panch minute mein ati hoon.

Krishna:ha babu.

Pratigya: Esi sambhalo

Pratigya gave gudiya to Krishna.

Pratigya gathered her things and went in the bathroom and shut the door.

Kesar: eelo baba. She gave him his plate with paratha and dahi. 

Krishna: Aree baa ee to ghajab hai.. he said as he took a bite while still holding the baby in one arm.

Kesar: ese hume de do varna tume ee theek se kahne ne denge. Kesar took gudiya and started to gently cradle her.

She sat down on the chair with her.

Krishna: to ghar par sab kuch theek hai?

Kesar: tumne Partigya ko kucho bataya?

Krishna: Ne, abhi bacchi se le kar bahut thak chuki hai to humne ee baat nei ki.

Kesar: bauji abhi thode naraz hai..

Krishna: esa hai humo kuch ne jante .. Pratigya came out of the shower wearing a blue sari.

Krishna: humri biwi ka humri madat chahi to hum aye, bus oo ka ese lagi to lagi humo kucho galate nei ki.

Pratigya: Kya galat nai kiya? Both looked towards Pratigya.

Kesar: Partigya ee sab baat chodo lo tumri betiya.. Pratigya's mind got diverted as she saw her baby's face.

Pratigya: Aaja maa ke pass she said as she held her again.

Kesar: Dadi ne tumri liye khichdi bejha hai.. kuch halka kahna ko kiye eeliye ee bejha. Kesar prepared it for her.

Pratigya: Didi ghar pe sab kuch theek haina?

Krishna: Aree babu tum kai chinta kare ho, kuch mat socho sirf humri beta ka dhyaan deyoo bus.. aur kono baat nei, Baujaye humra peht bhar gava. Babu tum humko humri rajkumari do hum ser karke ati hai.

Pratigya: Lekhen Krishna.. on the way to door he was greeted by the Doctor.

Doctor came in.

Doctor: Krishna aur  Pratigya everything's ok?

Pratigya: haan hum theek hai..

Krishna: haan doctor sahibaa sab kuch chochuk hai, bahut badiya.  

Doctor: That's good ,Pratgiya baby ko nelane ke liye tyar ho jao hum dus minute mein ate hai aur tumhare blood pressure nurse lene ayegi

Pratigya: accha doctor.  She smiled and the doctor caressed her daughter's cheek who was in Krishna's arms then left them to it.

Pratigya finished her breakfast..

Pratigya: thanks didi tum yeh sab laye.

Kesar: Kono baat nei Partgiya, tum humri chutki behen jaisi to ho... Pratigya smiled and so did Kesar.

Kesar: Accha abhum nikel te hai. Samar ko school chodne bhi jana hai.

Pratigya: theek hai didi. Pratigya hugged her. Kesar walked to the door where Krishna was cradling his daughter.

Kesar: Baba dupar ka kahna kisi ke saath bhejwa denge.

Krishna: theek hai baujaye.

Kesar:partigya ka ache se khyal rak na baba hum na chalte hai

she said caressing the baby's head then left the room.

Another nurse different to the one before came.

Mrs Pratigya Krishna Singh.

Pratigya: haan

Nurse: tumhara blood pressure check karna hai.yaha beht jao.

Pratigya followed her instructions and she tested her blood pressure.

Nurse: normal hai acha hai abhi baby ko le kar mere saath ana.
