Hit hai, fit hai!
There are some actors who are a constant in certain filmmakers' movies. We aren't talking about Shah Rukh Khan in Karan Johar's films or Hrithik Roshan in every Rakesh Roshan flick. We're talking about the less obvious, smaller roles that you'd miss if you weren't looking; like Mohnish Behl in Sooraj Bharjatya's films, or Kirron Kher in Yash Chopra's films. Sandipan Dalal uncovers other such jodis.
(Director saab: Mahesh Manjrekar)
Knowing each other: I have known Mahesh since my Marathi theatre days. We started our careers together with BP Singh, when he cast us in the serial Ek Shunya Shunya. It's always a pleasure to work with a director like him, who is a good actor himself and wants to exploit the social scene. In spite of a choc-a-bloc schedule, I'll never say no to Mahesh for any assignment that he offers me.
Body of work: I started off with his Marathi film Aai, followed by Vaastav. I have been a part of films like Viruddh, Ehsaas, and Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hai.
