Tellychakkar.com was the first to report about Cinevistaas' romantic comedy for Life OK tentatively titled Laila Majnu with Divyanka Tripathi as the lead. However, there is a new development to it as Divyanka has been dropped from the project due to certain reasons.
Our readers would remember that we had also written about Vivan Bhatena and Gaurav S Bajaj being approached to play the male leads in this show. The news coming in is that Vivan has been finalized while things did not work with Gaurav.
Talks are presently on with the handsome hunk Arjun Bijlani, says our reliable source. Ace Bollywood actor Ranjeet and Maninee De Mishra will also be seen in pivotal roles.
When contacted, producer Siddharth Malhotra told us, "Yes, Divyanka was earlier finalized for the show. But due to some monetary issues she has been dropped now. We are looking for a new lead. As for Ranjeet and Maninee, they have been roped in to play pivotal roles."
On Arjun Bijlani, Siddharth said, "Talks are presently on but there is no confirmation on this."
We tried calling Divyanka to know about her take on this, but she promised that she will get back to us.
When contacted, Arjun Bijlani refused to comment.
As reported earlier, Laila Majnu is a romcom wherein the Laila and Majnu with the help of their friend solve people's problems related to romance.
