Review on Kim's Hyderabad for Sepsis:  This incident happened just 5 days back (11-10-2012).  We got our brother-in-law admitted in KIMS for hip ball replacement , and was diagnosed with  Sepsis treatment by  Dr. Krishnaiah who is an orthopedic  surgeon at KIMS who  was looked  after his case.  The patient  drove his car personally to this doctor on 18th August, 2012 and he advised him to go for a surgery as he found there is an infection and asked him to fix an auspicious date for the same, then the patient thought that he has time to undergo the operation and fixed  the date to 22nd of August, again on 21st the patient had gone there but the doctor advised him to go for some more tests.  But at no point of time Dr.Krishnaiah neither advised nor warned him that this infection may turn into severe Sepsis in turn the patient is also not aware of the repercussions of this infection.

At the time of admission he was visible ok and was able to talk normally,  drink and breathe properly, except there was swelling in the leg and fever.   He was admitted on 26th August  but Dr.Krishnaiah  who is the doctor  for him even after knowing the condition of the patient had not come on that day for treatment and advised his  nurses attending him there to treat him with normal  IV fluids etc., The doctors said they have to performed operation on leg Immediately.  After operation surprisingly they moved him to room on the same evening  without even keeping in ICU for observation for 48 hours.  This really astonished  all of us as after any critical operation the patient has to be kept in ICU for observation.  In the room he developed complication and breathlessness on 28th evening after he was given blood transfusion and his condition deterioted day by day.  He was then shifted to ICU and was there in ICU for 10 days.  They performed dialysis  6 times as he told that the infection his blood, at the same time they performed all  other tests. They allowed only wife to visit him who herself was in deep depression and Dr.Krishnaiah  briefed about his condition only to her . Hence all other  family members were in dark about what's going on with him.  After 10 days they later moved him back to the room. He was totaling unable to walk and get up from the bed.  His legs were still swollen, 3 of his leg fingers are blackish (which happens when there is no blood supply in that part) and there was pus oozing from the leg which was observed by  his brother for which they told that it is nothing . Suddenly we were told that he would be discharged. The doctors refused to update the condition of the patient to any family members except his wife.   All the other family members were in dark on his condition.  The  discharge summary was  also not given  at the time of discharge.  When he was brought home after discharge we all were in for SHOCK  to see his condition, unable to walk, talk, and eat.  We were astonished how the KIMS doctors even thought of discharge of him at that condition. We immediately rushed him to hospital after two days seeing no improvement in his health but deterioration day by day. They again admitted him in ICU and were there for another one week.  He does not have any children and only wife was allowed to visit him and get update on his condition. She herself was in deep pain and unable to understand the happenings. Even upon request his brothers and sisters were not allowed to speak to doctor. They were asked to go out of the room during Dr.KRISHNAIAH  visit by the nurse on the pretext that doctor would speak only to patient's  wife and does not like anyone to be around (because any of his family members may raise some doubts ). This is really astonishing as how can they expect a wife whose husband is seriously ill to think and comprehend doctor's statement.  As even an  ICE number is never a close member of the person but a person who have that emotional balance to withstand and act as per emergency.   NO other  family members has any clue on his condition and what is the status and what treatment is been given. They then moved him to Step-down ICU (which is nothing but step down of patient condition). We were happy that this move is an indication of his betterment. However the condition was getting still worse. Then we came to know that KIMS have changed Dr.Krishanaiah realizing his incapability to handle this particular case as he is trying all trial and error methods on the patient .  (Maybe they realized the Dr.Krishnaiah who was handling the case till then was unfit to treat him). The new doctor was also not happy with the  treatment given so far as infection was not arrested immediately  (after 37 days of treatment earlier).  He suggested  an aggressive treatment that he would be doing latest treatment of inserting antibiotic Spacers in the infected part which would arrest the infection. However he said there is high risk for the same and may also result in depth. We were left in deep anguish like why the same was not given when the patient was first admitted.  The entire family member slept in hope that night thinking that the final treatment of spacers would help him recover . The day before the operation was schedule to be performed (operation date 11-10-2012) we received call from KIM's hospital at night 1 O clock mentioning the patient was kept on ventilators and is critical. He passed away  the next morning.  KIMS billed us around 10 lakhs+  and taken life of our  dear brother. Dr Krishniah is a worst doctor who is least empathetic towards family members. He is the worst surgeon and a licensed killer.

Sepsis is a deadly infection which can be controlled if timely treatment is given. Even though we bought the patient in time, I can clearly say that KIMS doctor Dr.Krishnaiah is unfit as he  delayed diagnosis and treatment, delayed which treatment to follow all this resulted in infection getting fast spread in the body and things going out of control. Had the proper treatment was given in the early days my brother would've been alive as in such cases time is very crucial. Kim's doctor keep trying alternatives and various methods hoping some method would click which were ineffective and keep changing doctors. KIMS IS KILLS… Please do not go to KIMS  and especially Dr.Krishnaiah and have your loved ones killed by this specialist killer.
