Tellywise, Bollyfoolish

Sushant Singh Rajput makes his debut in the film 'Kai Po Che'. Rajput's entry into films is eagerly awaited. Shah Rukh Khan has been the only actor to successfully graduate from TV to films. SRK worked in TV serials such as 'Fauji' and 'Circus'. However, others who showed promise, have barely managed to make it big. We take a look at some who tried:

Shweta Tiwari:

She seemed to be the perfect daughter and perfect bahu of television. Shweta Tiwari's claim to fame was with Ekta Kapoor's 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay' where she had a superb performance-oriented role.

A few controversies, a stint at 'Bigg Boss', a bath in the jungle and some issues with husband Raja Chaudhary over her child's custody still could not help her garner enough publicity to get a foothold in Bollywood. A few item numbers, a few Bhojpuri films and it seems that television is her game changer. Currently, Shweta is working on 'Parvarrish — Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi'.

Mona Singh:

Mona Singh shot to fame as the girl with the myopic eyes behind large, ugly spectacles in the TV show 'Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin' based on 'Ugly Betty'. Her girl-next-door performance was talk of the town and journalists spent days trying to find her true identity. She did have a good but small role in the blockbuster '3 Idiots'. Mona also played the lead role in the romantic thriller 'Utt Pataang' which failed miserably. She returned to television and is now in action in a soap called 'Kya Hua Tera Vaada'.

Shruti Seth:

The actress with the disarming smile and ability shot to fame with the show 'Shararat' which was loosely based on American hit 'Sabrina — The Teenage Witch'. The actress then went on to play quite a few supporting roles in Bollywood including that in Kunal Kohli's 'Fanaa' where she played Kajol's friend. She was also seen in a small but significant role recently in 'Raajneeti'. Shruti is still trying her luck in the movies.

Rajeev Khandelwal, Shabbir Ahluwalia and Aamna Sharif:

Shabbir Ahluwalia made his small screen presence felt in the TV show 'Kahiin To Hoga' and even did films like 'Shootout At Lokhandwala' where he had a good presence. But the movie did nothing for his career. Shabbir's colleague from the same show Rajeev Khandelwal became a household name and a heartthrob. He was in the television industry for eight years before he moved to movies, defying opposition from TV queen Ekta Kapoor. His debut film 'Aamir' took the industry by storm. His second film 'Shaitaan' wasn't as well received and his other film 'Peter Gaya Kaam Se' has been stuck for a while now. His next film 'Table No 21' is up for release next year.

Meanwhile, after her modelling stint, Aamna Sharif stepped into the soap arena and was paired alongside Khandelwal in 'Kahiin To Hoga'. Her popularity paved the way for her in Bollywood. However, all attempts failed. She hogged the limelight more for her link up with actor Aftab Shivdasani. She is now back on TV with a show called 'Honge Juda Na Hum'.

Mandira Bedi:

Mandira Bedi made her TV debut years ago with 'Shanti'. The supporting role in the 1995 hit 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' where she played a girl in love with SRK, didn't really help her. Ekta Kapoor's soap 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' got her back to TV. Mandira made a spot for herself as a cricket presenter and grabbed more attention for her noodle straps. Mandira acted in her husband's film 'Shaadi Ke Laddoo', but didn't leave a mark.

ABCD's trailer came out before 72-74 days before its release.. So according to that they should have released KPC trailer today or tomorrow.. But I guess they are waiting for Siddharth's marriage.. Still I hope trailer comes out this weekend.. Or if they have planned to release the trailer with Dabangg then they will release it 3 days before because ABCD's trailer was released on 27th nov ie., 3 days before Taalash release.. Personally my opinion only.. Lol

Clearly everyone is waiting for Sush's movie.Clearly I can see the reasons as :

1)Sush being a TV actor transitioning into movies where not many have succeeded.
2)Sush is the only TV star in recent times to sign such big banners/PH's even before his movie is released.
3)Sush's first movie is no less - AK a national award winning director with CB being the producer as well and based on his famous novel.Surely you want to have this on your resume.
4)Apart from shah-rukh,Madhavan not many TV stars have tasted success and with Sush already signing top banner movies including one with Mr Perction Aamir as well ,eyes are clearly on him
5)AK appreciation of the potential and talent of all three boys especially Sush and CB's appreciation of Sush (the AIEEE/IIT touch there) really has spread across the name "Sushant" in twitter and many social networking sites.Hirani was moved by Sush's audition and articles that say that UTV and YRF are juggling to have Sush back to back in their movies clearly indicates the rise of Sush.

Clearly these factors puts Sush one step above the rest and he is certainly on the way to make it big in BW world for sure.👍🏼

Rajput's entry in the film is eagerly waited..Well Rajput's entry are always royal and grand n classy in all aspects 😃😉

Aamir Khan continues the trend of releasing films during Xmas; P.K. might miss the date, but Dhoom:3 will be his fourth film to release during the festive season in 2013

From page A Christmas seems to be lucky for Aamir Khan. He's been part of three back-to-back blockbusters that released during the Christmas weekend in the past — Taare Zameen Par (2007), Ghajini (2008) and 3 Idiots (2009). And although the actor doesn't have a release this year, if all goes well, his next movie, Dhoom:3, will hit theatres during Christmas next year.

Meanwhile, Rajkumar Hirani's P.K., which was earlier rumoured to have a year-end release, might not be completed on time.

"Aamir has already completed a long shooting schedule for Dhoom:3 in Chicago. He was supposed to start shooting for P.K. in January, but in all likelihood, the first half of 2013 will be devoted to wrapping up Dhoom:3. As a result, P.K. might not be completed in time for a Christmas release," says a trade insider.

Although the film hasn't gone on the floors yet, P.K. has already been making news. Besides the casting, the film's shooting dates have also been in the news. The project was supposed to take off in October, but it didn't start on schedule. Later, the director had stated that he would start the shoot in December with leading lady Anushka Sharma. But now it's believed that the film will hit the floors only by mid-January 2013.

Other than Anushka, the film also stars TV actor Sushant Singh Rajput. In the past, names such as Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor were also doing the rounds for Sushant's part.

"Everyone knows that Aamir wants to focus on one movie at a time. So, he isn't in a big hurry to start P.K. The movie will be shot in and around Rajasthan and Delhi," says the source.

On the other hand, we've heard that the Dhoom:3 producers Yash Raj Films (YRF) have huge plans for the film's release. The multi-starrer project also features Katrina Kaif, Jackie Shroff, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra.
