Hi friends.
My diet includes meat and a lot of it... its been this way since many years now and my family as well as friends keep warning me of the ill-effects of having only non-vegetarian food! My mother has started getting really irritated as i refuse to have a meal without a meat being served on the dining table.
Its just got me wondering.. is it really a matter of concern or can i carry on the way i am? So far i have faced no problems as such.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Yes too much non-veg is definitely bad for health!
What you can do is have non-veg meals every alternate day. And if you don't already have vegetables everyday in your meals, then please do integrate it. One needs a proper balance between the two in your diet.

Yes, too much of meat is not so good, and even if your not facing any problems inspite of heavy intake of meat, it will affect your digestive system in the long run, when you grow old.

I personally believe that the digestive system gets a little overworked when we consume meat, because it takes lot of energy and time to breakdown proteins and fat into simpler absorbable molecules(amino acids and fatty acids, etc respectively) . In comparision to veg food. Veggies breakdown easily, and takes less time to get converted into simpler molecules.

If you have ever observed, one has a light feeling when he consumes veg food, and a little heavy feeling when he eats meat... hope you get what i mean. Also, your appetite is not so much when you consume meat.. It's a heavy food.

BUT, it, finally depends on your body mechanism. Observe your body... does it feel light, is your appetite normal inspite of so much heavy intake of meat, is your bowel system alright(odour is one factor when one eats lot of meat), do you genuinely feel GOOD in your tummy when you eat meat for every meal(leave out the taste factor)...and then decide for yourself.

I personally hate eating meat twice a day, or more than thrice a week.. because, I dont feel hungry often when I eat meat, my appetite gets disturbed if I eat it continuously for two meals.

Eating anything in access is not good, so if you eat meat regularly or you don't eat meal without non veg, so its not good for your health.

You must change your habit of eating meat.
