(This FF has some base in an OS that I wrote [https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/topic/3218480] - that's the link. Please note that in my head, Shiv has already told Anandi that he loves her and they call each other Shiv and Anandi only)
Shiv and Anandi decided on their dinner date that they would spend one full day together. Shiv was very excited and would keep talking about how he has the perfect Saturday planned for the both of them. 😊
S: Anandi, aap dekhiyega, kitna maza aanewala hai kal humein..!
Though she was a bit nervous at first, Shiv's enthusiasm is infectious and Anandi finds herself looking forward to tomorrow. Both of them have taken permission from their families and they're all set. Shiv has told Anandi and CM not to pack any food.
A: Kya hum baahar khaanewale hai?
S: (grinning) woh aap wahaan jaake hi dekh lena ! 😉
They leave early in the morning and drive for about 2 hours. Shiv has been amusing Anandi with tales from his childhood and still refused to tell her where they were going.
They reach a picnic spot (the kiddie kind with grass and stuff that our schools used to take us to) where there is a panoramic view of a beautiful lake on one side of the spot and lush greenery and a playground on the other side.
Though its simple, Anandi is struck by the beauty of the place. She looks around with a really sweet smile on her face. Shiv is elated to see her happy.
A: Shiv, yeh toh bahut sundar jagah hai! Mujhe toh pata hi nahi tha ki poore Rajasthan mein aisi koi jagah hai!
S: (In a Rajasthani accent) Re chori abhi tune dekha hi kya hai? 😆
Anandi laughs out loud and Shiv joins in.
A: Waise hum yahaan kya karnewale hai?
S: Anandi, maine notice kiya hai ki aapko humesha sabki chinta lagi rehti.. Main bas aapko thoda relax karna chahta tha..
Anandi feels touched that Shiv has noticed how she has confined all her wishes as per her family and society's customs. Shiv continues-
S: Aur aapko mere saath ek competition bhi karna hai!
A: Kaisa competition?
S: Pakda Pakdi! 😃
Anandi laughs a lot at this but agrees. Its no secret how much Anandi loves playing. Shiv too knows this and wants her to enjoy freely. He knows that she didn't have an ideal childhood and had to assume responsibilities very early in life.
A: Soch lijiye Shiv, main pakda pakdi mein champion hu.. Hahaha..
S: Achcha? Dekhte hai.. 😎
And they begin to play. The freedom and adrenaline is making them enjoy a lot and both look really cute and happy. After 2 hours or so of playing catch (and many cute and intensive eye locks), they both collapse on the grass laughing. Shiv is lying on his back while Anandi is laughing and adjusting her pallu.
S: Anandi, aap humari shaadi ke baad bhi pallu lengi kya?
A: Haan.. Kyu? Koi baat hai kya?
S: Nahi.. Woh bas, mere ghar par kabhi kisi ne pallu nahi liya.. Mom aur Choti Maa hi nahi, meri Dadi Maa bhi pallu nahi leti thi! Par aapko jaise pasand hai aap waise kapde aap pehen sakti hai.. Koi problem nahi hai..
A: Sach kahu toh main bhi iss baare mein soch rahi thi. Aapke yahaan toh itne bhaari kapdein bhi koi nahi pehenta.
S: Aap ko badalne ki koi zarurat nahi..
A: Aap aisa mat sochiye ki main aap logon ki khushi ke liye hi badalna chahti hu. Sach kahu toh... Aap hasenge toh nahi na?
S: Haan kahiye na!
A: Mujhe aapki Maa ki saariyaan aur unke kapdo ka dhang bahut achcha lagta hai.. Main bhi aisa kuch.. Kuch naya.. Main koshish karna chahti hu.. Par mujhe inn sab cheezo ke baare mein kuch pata nahi hai...
S: Aap iss baat ki tension mat lijiye! Main Mom se kahunga, woh aapko shopping le jayengi! Wow, Anandi, aapka toh makeover haan..
Both of them laugh. Anandi sighs.
A: Main bhi kitni kismatwali hu.. Mujhe do aur maaon ka pyaar mil raha hai..
S: Hmm.. Par aap mujhse zyada lucky nahi hai! Aapko pata hai, meri mangetar pakda pakdi champ hai! (laughs)
S: Hehe.. Uss mein kya hai? Mere mangetar toh ek haath se dus gundo ki chhutti kar sakte hai!
S: Meri woh toh topper hai- teacher aur sarpanch bhi!
A: Achcha? Mere woh bhi videsh mein padhe hai- aur collector bhi hai!
S: Woh halwa bahut tasty banati hai! Woh bahut pyaari hai aur bahut achchi bhi!
A: Toh woh bhi toh bahut achche hai, smart hai aur handsome bhi! 😳
Anandi bites her tongue. She thinks- oh god, i said that out loud!
Shiv's eyes widen and his heart fills with joy! He keeps it light.
S: Handsome haan? Iss mamle mein aap hi lucky hai.. Meri mangetar ki naak toh pakode jaisi hai! (laughs)
A: (pouting) Meri naak pakode jaisi hai??
S: Arre main toh mazak kar raha tha! Aapki naak bahut pyaari hai aur aap bahut sundar hai.. 😊
Anandi's blushing. Shiv taps her nose and says-
S: Aur waise bhi, mujhe pakode bahut pasand hai..! 😃
Anandi blushes even more.
S: Pakodo se yaad aaya.. Chaliye kuch khaate hai..
A: Par hum khayenge kya?
Shiv grins, gets up and takes Anandi by the hand, pulls her towards the jeep. He removes a bag full of vegetables that he had brought alongwith him and hidden in the jeep. Then he takes Anandi to the back of the playground where there is a small guest house. Its more like an out house. Just a room with a table, kitchen with the basic stuff and a wash room.
A: Shiv, yeh sab kya hai? Aap kya kar rahe hai?
S: Aaj main aapke liye khaana banaunga!
A: Aap?! 😲
But Shiv has been practising and is totally prepared. As Anandi looks on, he makes decent rotis, a vegetable and salad. Anandi is looking at him, staring really, as he works hard for her. She laughs and says-
A: Shiv, meethe mein kya hai?
S: Main hu na! 😉 (laughs as Anandi's eyes widen) Choti Maa ke haath ki jalebiyan!
They both take the food out and enjoy it at the lakeside. Shiv is sweating but his hands are dirty with oil from the food and he cant eat and wipe his face at the same time. Anandi notices his discomfort and wipes his face with her pallu. They both just keeping looking into each other's eyes. Then Shiv says-
S: Hmm.. Pallu ke bhi fayde hai! (both blush) Waise aapko khaana kaisa laga?
A: Meri kismat ki list mein ek aur cheez jud gayi.. Mere mangetar toh khaana bhi bahut achcha banate hai! Sach mein.. Khaana bahut achcha hai..! 😊
They both smile at each other. They spend some time talking, just enjoying the weather, the scenery and each other's company.
Soon its time to go.
Shiv drives Anandi home and as he's leaving, he hands her a red rose. He waves and drives off. Anandi smiles looking at the rose. She's blushing and feeling very special. She goes to her room after telling everyone that everything was great and she just wants to rest. She hasn't felt this way for a long time. Spending time with Shiv makes her feel that truly her new married life is going to be a happy one.. She thinks about him all evening. ⭐️
They talk on the phone that night and neither feels like stopping. Then Anandi looks at the time.
A: Bahut der ho gayi hai! Main ab rakhti hu.. Good night.
S: Good night.
Anandi is lying on the bed but unable to sleep. She's thinking of all the sweet moments they spent together.. When she wiped his face, his deep eyes.. How happy she felt.. At that moment, she gets a text from Shiv:
"Khubsurat din ke liye shukriya. Umeed hai ki aapko bhi utni hi khushi hui hogi jitni mujhe hui hai.. Zindagi bhar main aapko aur aise kai din dena chahta hu .. Love, Shiv."
A smile comes on her face and she goes to sleep blushing and dreaming of Shiv and a happy future.. A future in which she is valued, where she has an equal right to happiness and where she has a loving husband.
A: (touches her nose) Aur unki naak bhi bahut pyaari hai... Hehe..😳
