I'm so sorry Sheetal I haven't commented sooner but I really need to ask where you've been hiding this talent! You are such a greater writer. The way you've described Arjun and Arohi's pain and my poor Arjun's anguish...just Amazing. And I loved the concept..how creative to weave the story around the song. So well written and I felt for Arjun more then anything. I know Arohi thought what was she was doing was for him but couldn't she see that compared to her everything else was trivial to him.
I loved this paragraph, it sent chills down my spine.
"Amongst the din of music and chatter. she could hear the tiny sound of a ring dropping on the wooden floor behind her. The clang of metal against wood was too small a noise to be noticed, but to Arohi it sounded like a door banged shut, bolted. To Arjun it was a gunshot, fired straight to his heart."
Wow! That was so well written, totally grabbed me. The words were just so powerful...so final.
Can't wait to read more of your work. Will comment soon on the other ones too.
