Our FAVORITE masala packed show is back with a bang - this time in a family-friendly format, coined as Bigg Boss 6 - Alag Che!

This time, there will be 63 CAMERAS in the house, following every move of the housemates.

This will be the first time an "AAM ADMI" will be given a chance to enter the Bigg Boss house! Let's see how this turns out!

Also for the first time, there will be pets in the house! A talking Macaw parrot, Radhe, and a fish, O-Fish! A bigger responsibility for the housemates!

It is rumored that the house has relocated back to Lonavala, Maharashtra, we will see tomorrow if it turns out to be true!

Our favorite host, the badshaah, SALMAN KHAN, is back once again! He's back in a new look with a french cut beard! Thumbs Up

The show begins tomorrow, October 7, 2012, at the mainstream slot of 9 pm! Don't forget to watch and let's see WHO ARE THE HOUSEMATES!

Salman Khan is back on the small screen. And as he returns to host season six of the reality show Bigg Boss (BB, on Colors), he reiterates his promise that this time around, the daily prime time show will be a family-oriented one.

today. Reason? The presence of the bird on the show has not gone down too well with animal rights activists who are threatening to take action.

"Birds and other animals used in films or shows are often treated as nothing more than props, and many suffer terribly. A film/TV show set, with its hectic activity, noise and hot arc lights, is a terrifying and foreign environment for animals. It's sheer cruelty. We urge the show to not use the parrot or any animal because they are not willing entertainers unlike the show's human participants," said Sachin Bangera, manager at PETA India.

Apart from the parrot, the show is also set to have a fish, called O'fish. "We have already complained to the Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) about this as well. Fish who are kept confined to bowls and tanks, lead empty and boring lives. In nature, fish would be swimming vast distances freely. Those confined to small tanks are often kept in solitary confinement, and can only swim in endless circles," he adds.

When contacted, a representative from the channel, Colors, said, "We have all the necessary permissions from AWBI." The vice president of AWBI, Dr Chinni Krishna, however, was totally clueless when contacted. "I don't know of any such permission," he says. Most films and TV shows internationally use digital images rather than using real animals during shoots.

Six Salmans for season 6
Host Salman Khan will make a hatke entry on the show. You'll see six Salmans that will be created using milo technology. The actor will be sporting six different looks from his hits such as Dabangg, Ready, Bodyguard, Ek Tha Tiger, Wanted and a French-bearded look that he is sporting for the show. Actor Rani Mukerji will introduce the 'common man' contestant on the show, a new addition to season 6

Celebrity reality show Bigg Boss [ Images ] had landed in one controversy after another in its earlier seasons. So, with Season 6 about to commence, suspense is growing about who the new housemates could be.

Host Salman Khan [ Images ] reiterates his promise that this time around, the daily prime time show, which premieres on October 7 at 9pm on Colors channel, will be a family-oriented one.

If sources are to be believed, this is the final list of participants of Bigg Boss season 6.

Here we bring to you why Big Boss Season 6 is Alag che..

As we all are eagerly waiting for the Big Boss season 6 and to know the interesting elements in the house this year as well as the contestants who are to come in, here in this column you will find it all.

Unlike the past five seasons of Bigg Boss the house this year is the biggest which is of 15,000 sq/ft, which is beautifully designed by the very well known Sabu Cyril and will have 70 cameras in the house. When we spoke to Sabu Cyril on the concept of the house he said, "I have seen all the seasons of Bigg Boss and so this time I wanted to make the house look very vibrant, so I got in some bright colours which makes it perfect and lively. I have used calligraphy on the wall of the living room which makes it totally unique. One of the bedrooms is made up of a bright yellow flower theme and the other bedroom and the captain's room is made up of vibrant red and black combination. So also the kitchen is bigger than the last time. The confession room is the one which will surely catch the audiences eye with the way it is made. The garden and the pool are the perfect places for relaxation. He also further said, "I have given an international look to the house. It is much more a modern concept. All this could happen as I had more space to play with. I am sure it is going to be very entertaining and lively as whatever I have made is according to the 'Parivarik' concept of Bigg Boss this year'.

According to the promos you all have seen that there is going to be a talking parrot as well a fish as the elements in the house, in fact we also have three monkeys in the house. The three monkeys portraying 'No bad see, No bad hear, No bad talk'. I hope the contestants follow these monkeys too as it is the 'Parivarik' show.

Well accordingly the contestants expected in the Bigg Boss House this year are: Urvashi Dholakia, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Rajev Paul, Delnaz Paul, Aseem Trivedi, Vrijesh Hirjee, Sana Khan, Sampath Pal, Aashka Goradia, Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua, Sapna Bhavnani, Sayantani Ghosh and Karishma Kota. So the list therefore is 'Alag che' Well hope this season to turns out to be very 'Alag', more entertaining and following the theme of 'Parivarik'.

Fifteen participants will be locked up for the sixth time to squabble, plot and survive for three months inside the Bigg Boss house on Sunday. TOI can now reveal the names of the 15 who will slug it out in a 15,000 sq ft Bigg Boss house. The spoiler is that the fifteenth celebrity to enter the house will be a 'common man', who will be introduced by Rani Mukherjee as Bigg Boss 6begins today.

The list includes cricketerturned-politician Navjot Singh Siddhu, popular television vamp Urvashi Dholakia, leader of a fiercely feminist group of women vigilantes Sampat Devi Pal, and cartoonist Aseem Trivedi, who was recently arrested on sedition charges for his cartoons. Also sharing the same roof will be actor Delnaz Paul and her exhusband Rajeev Paul.
The complete Bigg Boss 6 list includes Navjot Singh Siddhu (cricketer-turned-politician), Sana Khan (modelturned-South films actor), Brijesh Hirji (Gujarati theatre artist known for his comic roles in Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein and Golmaal Returns), Sampat Pal (leader of Gulaab Gang - an Uttar Pradesh-based group of women vigilantes), Urvashi Dholakia (popular for negative roles on TV), Aashka Goradia (TV actor), Dinesh Yadav (Bhojpuri superstar), Sapna Bhavnani (celebrity hair stylist), Delnaz Paul (TV actress), Rajeev Paul (TV actor and Delnaz's ex-husband), Aseem Trivedi (political cartoonist and activist), Sayantani Ghosh (actor), models Niketan Madhok and Karishma Kotak. How it feels to be locked up in the Bigg Boss house

As host Salman Khan claims, the Bigg Boss house, which has been erected in Lonavala this time, is grander, yet cosier (courtesy false ceilings and decor) than the previous seasons.

Thirteen journalists were locked up in the house for 18 hours, to gain a first-hand experience of what the participants go through during their three-month stay. Sticking to the new format of the reality show, a common person also stayed with us. With over 70 cameras monitoring every move of yours, you feel like a celebrity, hating the constant scrutiny and attention. Andyes, we couldn't even get through the initial 10 hours without ego clashes, tempers flares and people accusing each other of 'groupism'. One can only imagine what celebrities go through while constantly trying to outdo each other.

Spread across 15,000 sq ft, it is a dream house with a swimming pool and two huge bedrooms (designed by renowned art director Sabu Cyril of Robot and RA.One fame). What stands out is a narrow passage, that separates the bedrooms from the hall and also the yellow bedroom which has detachable beds arranged in a pizza-like manner. And yes, there is a panic room too. It is like a jail with an added surprise each time a inmate goes in.

Like real inmates, we too had to perform 'daunting' tasks like eating 10 bananas to be crowned as the captain of the house (Gee, I managed to eat only three!) or cooking dessert for the captain of the house at 1.30 am. Not to forget, the team yours truly belonged to, won! While initially, one wished that the day ends soon, when the Bigg Boss' baritone voice informed us that our stay had come to an end, we wished we could stay for a few more hours.

Bigg Boss Season 6 airs daily at 9 pm on Colors.
