Robert Pattinson will now be seen in the final movie of Twilight franchise Breaking Dawn 2

Actor Robert Pattinson has been reportedly approached to play the role of singer Mike Nesmith in a film based on the latter's band The Monkees.

The 26-year-old, who claimed fame with the role of Edward Cullen in the vampire movie franchiseTwilight has shown interest in the proposal. "He is interested in the role," dailystar.co.uk quoted a source as saying.

The actor was last seen in director David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis. He will now be seen in the final movie of Twilight franchise Breaking Dawn 2.
