The day has come that we have all been waiting for. It is the release of Shah Rukh's film Jab Tak Hai Jaan! It is also the day we announce the winners of the Jab Tak Hai Jaan siggy contest. The box office battle between 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' and 'Son of Sardaar' has begun, and none of the films is ready to drag its feet back. Both the films have clear target audiences and their dedication is clearly reflecting in the initial trends. 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' is taking lead in the multiplexes while 'Son of Sardaar' is marching ahead in mass circuits.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweets, "#JTHJ and #SOS Tuesday results in India: In mass circuits, #SOS is ahead. At multiplexes, #JTHJ takes a lead."
He further tweets, "As per *early trends* #JTHJ is ahead of #SOS in India. But, both #JTHJ and #SOS are *winners* at the BO."
Both the films are getting mixed reviews, thus the box office scenario will be clear after 3-4 days only. The audience decided to go to cinema halls due to the much hyped battle between the two banners. Moreover, the legal battle between Ajay Devgn Films and Yash Raj Films suggested that both the films are well made, that's why the makers are fighting for more screens.
'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' is expected to do well in the overseas markets also, while 'Son of Sardaar' is mostly dependent on the Indian market, so it is more important for 'Son of Sardaar' to perform well in the domestic circuit.
