The tale of love was not written on the sand to be washed away when the waves gently kissed the shore...It was etched deep in the heart to be never forgotten... A journey of lovers that gave confidence to share their innermost thoughts with the other... because the emotions would truly be understood and appreciated...The love of a mother that a young boy missed and the memories a young man held in his tight fist so that they don't slip away like the grains of  sand...His world was built around the memories of  his mother... everything that Arnav's mother loved he embraced as his love...her love for gardening, her bangles.. each piece of her memory was carefully preserved in his life... her pain of being cheated by her husband became his own...the reason of her death more painful than her being no more..

The only thing that was closest to Arnav's heart besides his mother's memories was his love for Khushi...With her he had shared the sadness of his mother's suicide... the reason behind it...Her presence and words had been a comforting balm for the old wound that was raw but was showing signs of healing...Today he shared the happy part of his mother's memory with Khushi... Arnav Singh Raizada the man bared what lay inside his heart for the love that had become his life...

He had accepted her as his love long back but today he gave her the right of becoming a daughter in law of his mother...the greatest acceptance for Khushi...Arnavji had finally become Arnav for her.

Pic Credit:Arnav and Khushi forever

Khushi lost her mother at a much younger age than Arnav...she does not have strong memories of her... but has trinkets like payal, jhumka as a remembrance...and the stars she has christened as parents who are looking out for her from above... She has built  memories of her parent's love on her wishes of how they would have cared for her if they were alive...her real memories of a mother is with Garima her Amma... She does not therefore distinguish between her biological and  foster mother...

If her mother is accused of a crime which she is not really guilty of, the daughter would not take it lying low because Amma is no less important than the love of her life Arnav.

When the statement of one mother being responsible for the death of another mom comes to light... the ground on which Arnav and Khushi stand will be shaken...For the  truth of the statement  to be understood a calm mind which can keep aside the hurt, anger and look dispassionately to understand the entire facts is needed. The true test would lie with Arnav overriding his knee jerk reactions in mercurial anger and hurt.

The Red Herring...
The much anticipated Garima and Dadiamma confrontation saw a light of the day.. Dadi steamrolled Garima Gupta ..with a slap and aspersions on her character... threatening to take revenge on her by ruining her daughters lives...It was revealed through flashbacks that Dadi considered her to be Woh Aurat... who wrecked the family of her son and caused immense pain to her grand children... Garima tried to defend herself but she was no match to the commanding Subhadra Mallik ...but whatever little Garima could say stood out  as -
-her initial unawareness of  the marital status of ASR's dad.
-she had no intention of wrecking the marital relationship of  a married couple.. she swore on Devi Maiyya that she was saying the truth...
-she did not know Anjali and Arnav were the children of Mr. Mallik...

Interesting was the fact that she has never even mentioned love with respect to Sr. Mallik once...her remark to Shashi Gupta, her husband few episodes back "hum tabhi jooth nahi bolna chahate the aur aaj bhi nahi... "  what was the lie that Garima had told in the past? which had resulted in a mistake and could effect the present..."humari ki hui bhool...aaj hamare saamne hai.." A truth that Garima and Shashi are aware and which Dadi refuses to hear...A truth that does not shake the strong bond of love and respect that Shashi and Garima have for each other.. the reality of  Garima being the home wrecking other woman is still a red herring there is more than what meets the eye currently...As the episodes unravel so will the entire truth of the incident of the past...
Another interesting fact... the silhouette of  the other woman that Arnav had seen on the day of his dad's death was different from Garima...The woman that Mrs. Ratna Mallick had seen with her husband is still a mystery...

The enigma called Woh Aurat continues in the series Iss Pyar ko kya naam doon... with the deepening of Arhi love affair and the manipulation of the past by Shyam Manohar Jha...

P.S. the blind fold..
Arnav blindfolded Khushi and teased her with the idea that maybe he wanted to kiss her... the guessing game over the weekend  resulted in me and my equally pagal IPK friends deducing that  Arnav won't kiss Khushi but share something in memory of his mom...we were rooting for Ma's kangans...

The result  indeed was sharing of a secret with Khushi about Arnav's mother but was gardening instead of her bangles...😳
I am happy with the fact that I was able to understand some aspects which the makers wanted to convey and some elements which was a surprise perking up my interest in the show...

A thank you to the team @IPK  for trying to infuse life blood into the serial that we so passionately love...😊

"Paudha ek pedh banta hai, aur hum sab ko zindagi deta hai!"

The seeds of love and desire were sown on that night when Khushi as instructed by Arnav stood under the pouring rain.. Arnav came to her rescue when she was about to be run over by a car and thus starting the chain of events which led that sapling to blossom and flourish and become a tree which has its roots running deep.. the tree which has been nurtured with love and care by both without meaning to initially.. A tree which withstood the storms and the drought! The three a symbol of their love which gave both of them LIFE! which continues to give life to all others around them..

The sapling weathered some harsh conditions to begin with.. Their hatred and mistrust of one another in the beginning.. but there was something which kept them bringing to each other again and again.. A chord which tied both of them, which stretched and stretched but never gave away.. The roots so strong and deep that try as they might, they could not run away from the inevitable.. that
They Belonged together..

As the love grew, they started noticing it, respecting it and consciously nurturing it! Now it has grown to the point where the thought of the other not being there is intolerable.. The mention of the other slipping from their lives albeit jokingly is a PUNISHMENT! A promise that no matter what happens, they will be together.. Come what may, "They will always have each other," is a promise as important as breathing.. The hearts are entwined in such a manner that where one begins and where the other ends is not clear..

Every time they part ways, the promise to come back needs to be made to placate each other.. Something to look forward to..

Arnav Malik, an orphan, who was left alone in this world at a tender age of 14, when he was only a sapling, learning to grow.. Nourished by his determination to give his sister a life of happiness and not to look back.. Watered by the desire to succeed in life and create a niche for himself where things are how he wants them to be.. He became Arnav Singh Raizada, a tree which gave strength and support to others.. He became the man of the house, the person who took decisions in the house hold.. A person whose judgment was never questioned, a person who provided for his family.. He became a life and care giver like his mother wanted!

That one line said by Arnav's mother Ratna, was in fact a gem of an advice, like her name, a mother could give to her children! It was her love and care which made Arnav what he is.. A care giver and a person who loves unconditionally!

The episode today

Words are just not enough for the beauty of the emotions that were captured in the episode today!

The episode focused on 2 things only.. Arnav and Khushi and their growing love.. And the factors which are trying to rip them apart and break their bonds, namely Past in the form of Dadi and Shyam and his machinations trying to create problems for them by any means necessary!

Arnav and Khushi

Arnav tricks Khushi into losing the game of passing the parcel and winning the bet where they had agreed to do whatever the other asks them to do if they lose.. Arnav takes her to his room, takes her in his arms and whispers in her ears..

                                      "you have to..."
Just thinking about the implications and promises that carried, she jumps out of his embrace saying that she won't do it.. only to be pulled back in the circle of his arms!

"Karna padega Khushi, bharosa nahi hai mujh pe"
Bharosa.. One thing she has immensely in her laad governer! When the question comes to love and trust, she would trust him with her life.. She sits on the recliner, to be blind folded by him.. Being blindfolded and letting your partner guide you is taught as a trusting exercise at some places..

Arnav blindfolds her and turns her to face him.. he caresses her face, but Khushi out of anxiety and fear of unknown stops his hand!

He takes her by the hand and guides her to the hall, leaves her for a minute in the middle only for her to shout out and call for him and removing her blindfold when she hears laughter around her.. Arnav brings a mirror where hes hows her improvements he has made to her flawless beauty...

Tells her cheekily," Khushi, you are really beautiful. tum sach mein bahut khoobsurat ho, is liya mujhe laga ki, nazar na lag jaaye toh"

She runs behind him to get even for the fun he had at her expense only to run into dadi! As soon as she collects herself, she hides her mustache with the dupatta..

2 things stood out here..

1. After Khushi was blindfolded, arnav became her eyes, and guided her on the path.. Once the past comes out and Khushi is not able to see clearly, Arnav will be the one to help her come to terms with it.. When his grip on her loosens, she will search for him and take steps towards him..

2. Khushi hides her face with dupatta.. Did the mustache represent chacha ji.. Was chacha ji the one who was behind all the happennings of the past but was hidden from Dadi and everyone else? Khushi as chacha ji pointing dadi in Garima's direction.. Only the three of them in the hall!

there has been a mention of the "buri nazar" and "kala teeka" to prevent Khushi from that nazar..first on haldi when Khushi explains rasam to Arnav and today by Arnav..The first time it was her family who gave her the protection.. today it was Arnav who took steps to protect her from the ill meaning stares and people!

Arnav takes her back to the room, wipes the Kaajal with his hands.. Khushi who is never the one to keep quiet asking him that he loves to trouble her a lot na.. Arnav reciprocating it with, "tang karne ke alaawa, kaajal metaane ka aur kya reason ho sakta hai.. I don't know.. Ho sakta hai kaajal mith chuka ho aur main phir bhi"

Khushi miffed by his tricks tells him, that she will not fall into any of his traps.. She will make sure of it.. She will slip like sand from his fingers and she will run away the minute she gets an opportunity.. Arnav not liking the idea of her not being with him, tells her not to repeat those words EVER.. and makes her promise the same.. She senses that there is something more which is troubling him, namely his fear of losing the loved ones, and asks him.. When he does not reply, reassures him to take his time and tell her when he wants.. And hugs him to reassure him of her promise!

The next part where he takes her to see the place which was closest him was beautifully done! By telling her that she is the only person whom he has brought here a proof of what she has come to mean to him and the importance she holds in her life.. They bask in their LOVE and the love of his mother and its glory, sitting side by side, walking hand in hand..
Arnav reminds her once more.."khushi yeh sab rasmein, yeh jo kuch bhi hum kar rahe hain ek hone ke liye, yeh sab apni jagah hai.. lekin mere liye aaj, iss waqt, tumhein yaahaan laane ka matlab hai ki hum ek ho gaye.. tum aaj se mere patni ho.. meri ma ki bahu!"

Listening to this a smile of pure joy and happiness breaks on Khushi's lip.. Her eyes shining with the love and how much his words meant to him.. She sees his name etched on the bark of the tree and sees the rose bush..She remembers the rose he gave her on her birthday... He tells her that the rose belonged to this garden.. which was nurtured by his mother's love..

DADI, GARIMA and Shyam..

Finally courtesy Shyam, Dadi and Garima have their confrontation.. Where Dadi has become the judge and the jury of the past and held Garima responsible for all the mistakes of the past.. According to her Garima knowingly trapped a married man.. Garima's repeated pleas that she has no idea her son was married fell on deaf ears!

She has vowed to destroy Garima's and the lives of Garima's daughters to take revenge for what Garima did to her family.. She has declared that she would not let this marriage go through at any cost..

Call me crazy, but there is more to Garima's story than is shown today.. The thought that garima can be woh aurat is unpalatable.. I am sure there is something a lot more to this.. I am waiting for the past to unfold properly..😊 before commenting!

All this was seen by none other than Shyam who was gloating and smiling to himself! πŸ˜‘

Some questions..

1, We have a shot of dadi coming down the stairs, then Arnav blindfolding Khushi and bringing her down the same stairs.. then we have Khushi running into dadi after she comes down the stairs??? Where was Dadi when Arnav was getting Khushi down?? Did she suddenly become a ghost that you could pass through?😲😲

2. Arnav and Khushi both left their phone at home.. Why do I feel that they will return married to the RM??😲😲

That's all from my parlour!
Loved the episode.. Looking forward in anticipation..

Love

Kopal😊

PS: Thanks for the likes and comments guys..
Sorry for cheating you on saturday with a chhotu sa post.. Hope I made it upto you all today! πŸ˜Š

The whole premise of Arnav's past, his general attitude towards this world, his accumulative miseries ,his triumphs too partially everything is based on a fact that his father deceived his mother. And he was into an extramarital affair which lead to series on events to unfold. This had far reaching effect. It has effected Anjali in such a way that she lives in her cocooned world. Full of fantasy. It has scared Arnav so much that he views world either as black or white. And all this is blamed on a woman who no one has seen. Dadi has some clue but we are not sure what actually it is. So far the blame is squarely laid on Garimaji. So what is TRUTH.

Exactly, what do we mean when we say that something is true? If something is true, it would have to be absolute, wouldn't it? What would truth be other than that which never changes? If it changes, could it be Truth?

 -Rev Will Newsome

So going by the above statement its quite evident that so many lives have suffered unnecessarily. When the absolute TRUTH comes out.. I think there will be a day when we will feel All this for nothing. Not sure how the next course of events will unfold. Its something to reckon about history being repeated. The way Khushi has suffered unnecessarily, Garimaji also must have met the same fate. She must be protecting some one. And in turn took the blame on self. Will Arnav and Khushi stand up for Garimaji and fight the fight. Time will tell us.

Anjarai petti

Due to time constraints, I have updated only a brief one with only my mind voices...Adjust Maadi!

1. The blind fold game:

Situation song: Valarnthalum naan innum siru pillai than... arinthaalum athu kooda nee sollithan.. unaketra thunaiyaaga enai matrava...(Even If I am grownup there is a kid in me.. a lot of things I learn because of you, help me change myself to suit you)
Arnav has become more playful when Kushi is around, He is not the kadoos Laad governor that the family and world have seen for all these years... Arnav had been mischeivious when he was younger- all that hidden in his heart is slowly being shown to the world...courtesy Kushi!
Mindvoice: all that is fine- But couldnt help but feel a little disappointed that the missed oppurtunity... Didnt I tell you all? these two dont know how to use a winning chance!

2.Kushi's comment and Arnav's fear

Situation song : (One of my fav number by mastreo Illayaraja)

Maalai idum sontham
mudi potta bandham,
piruvendra solle ariyadhathu..
azhagana manaivi,
anbana thunaivi,
amaindhale perinbhame..
madi medhu thuyila,
sarasangal payila ,
mogangal aarambhame..
Nalla manayalin nesam oru kodi,
nenjam enum veenai paadume thozhi,
santhosha saamrajyame..
(The relationship that comes by exchanging garlands...
the bind that is defined by the mangalsutra -
doesnt imbibe the meaning of seperation with it
if you are blessed with a beautiful wife,
who loves you unconditionally that will bring
in the heights of happiness in your life...
to quench your thrist, to have a blissfully married life, to make love
A good wife's love cannot be measured
its like the heart singing to a happy song
it is a kingdom of happiness)

Kushi says the next time he tires something like this, she will slip through his fingers...Arnav is clearly agitated at the thought that another one of his loved ones slipping throught the fingers... And asks her not to tell so again.
Like kushi has the stars to associate with her parents, Arnav has gardening to associate with his mom... He takes her to the place which is close to his heart, a garden where his mom had taught him and his DI to nurture the plants...A tree which is a reminiscent of his lost mother... He has'nt brought anyone here... he has'nt shown this side of him to anyone else... He brings Kushi here marking his highest milestone of acceptance for her as his wife... He tells her today that she is his Mom's Bahu! A happy kushi smiles, and for the first time calls him Arnav- atleast reads out his name carved in the tree..
Kushi also realises that the rose that he had gifted her on her birthday was from this garden...blessed with his mother's memories and is moved by the gesture.
mindvoice: Arnav takes his girl to meet his mom for the first time... so what if his mom is just memories, he takes her to a place where he feels that her presence is still felt..and he knows that his belief will not be mocked by kushi, and she will feverently accpet his belief and respect it... Will we see Kushi's name somewhere down the line on that tree?

3.Dadi Garima confrontation
Dadi finally meets Garima and threatens to take revenge for her deeds... Garima like in the past tries to tell her that what she understood is wrong... but is royally shut up by Dadi's bullying and her inablility to listen to what the other person wants to say! Dadi says she will not let this ,marraige happen at any cost while a broken Garima wimpers not to do so. All this is watched gleefully by Shyam.
Mindvoice: a little dialogue that Garima told says that she didnt know that Sr.Malik was not married... what is the past associated with these two? there is clearly another woman and Garima is not that aurat... hmm Arnav's dad has been a play boy.. may be! but Garima escape at the neck of the moment?

Kitne door door hon, un donon ke raaste
Mil jaate hain jo bane, ek duje ke vaaste
Ek duje ke vaaste...

Us rab ne jab dil diye ,Dil ke do tukde kiye
Dono pe ek naam likha , Ek radha ek shyam likha
Ab ye dil dhadakte hain ,Milte aur bichhadte hain
Ek duje ke vaaste ...ek duje ke vaaste...

When I see the Peaceful look on Arnav's face and the reason for that being Khushi...and when I see the Happiness reflecting on Khuhi's face because of Arnav, I believe that there are people who are Made for each other, whose jodiyan comes bani-banayi from heaven!!...This couple gives me a lot of happiness in the span of 10 minutes... I dedicate the above song to their destiny which ensured they met and fell in love...and their togetherness, which is soon going to be put to test!
*Sigh!!

An epi which highlighted the contrasting situations and the inevitable storm...
At one end, the significance and influence of Arnav's mother in his life...and at the other end, Dadi recognizing Garima as the "other woman" who destroyed his mother's life!

An angry Dadi exclaiming "Ab Ye shaadi nahin hogi"...in contrast to an emotional Arnav lovingly telling khushi "aaj se tum meri patni ho"..
*Major Sigh*!!

Peace, solace, trust and love :

Needless to say, this was the highlight of the epi! A man who has never shared his feelings with anyone, now openly bares his soul to his soul mate, giving her that pedestal that she is worthy of.

Arnav brings Khushi at his personal haven where the memories of his happy childhood are always fresh! He not only sees his mother here but he sees the dreams that he had when he was a child, the hope for a happy and blissful future, the heavenly life he wanted to lead with his mother. The scene brought tears to my eyes as the pain of loosing all flashed in his!

A small plant becomes a tall, firm tree... just like a young Choote who has turned into Arnav Singh Raizada..A just, strong, determined young man carrying the burden of the world!! I loved it... seriously I did!!😳

Loved the scene of both the kids watering the plant with the impatiene of seeing the fruits of their hard work!!πŸ˜† Lovely..

His mother's voice over "thoda Sabr kar choote"..and the next shot of a grown-up Choote reflecting on those very words and smiling...Ah!! it stole my heart!! Well done CVs...πŸ‘

Also what a poignant way to disclose the reason for Arnav's love for plants...
It was such an Aww moment for me!! And emotional too...The way he admits that he finds his mother closer to him at this place ..We can feel his pain, his need for his mother!!! ..Thank you IPK team for giving us this...and Big thanks to Barun who portrayed these expressions flawlessly..πŸ‘...I wanted to cry and hug Arnav at the same time!!

"Ye meri liye duniya ki sabse special jagah hai"..and he brings the most important person to that place...Nothing else is required...his love for khushi lies in this statement!!πŸ˜ƒ

She knows he is sad and she comforts him by showering her love!!😊
And he reciprocates...by telling her she is already his, he loves her, considers her his wife..and Daughter-in-law to his mother!!
I will repeat myself here but I loved this scene..The intensity, the poignant and subtle emotions, the trust and love was all beautifully captured!
For him , this is the day...from this moment when he has shared his deepest feelings with her, when he has included her in this part of his life,  she is his wife and his "maa ki bahu"...That is the most important thing...the inclusion of her in his mother's life!! I loved it...And Barun ji, again..I hail thee for those expressions, that voice modulation, those lively eyes!!πŸ˜ƒ

Khushi also understands that the red rose he gifted her on her birthday has come from this special place..and it's no wonder that she feels emotional and extremely loved! At that particular day, he had not told her "verbally" that he loves her..But "that gift", "that rose", was the best declaration of love that he could have ever made...And she understands that today and feels overwhelmed...just like me...πŸ˜†

Some other little thoughts to ponder:

  • the Bedroom scene...Ok...I loved his whispering "You have to"..Why they didn't show it on Saturday! It would have driven us madder... ..No wonder Khushi gets scared!! πŸ˜†
And Barun ji..your voice modulation is par excellent!! πŸ‘

  • Itne romantic scene ke baad Dadi ka face!! Its like "Cheeni dikha ke karela khila diya".. Oh why...

  • I loved, loved the way he looks at her when she has been blindfolded...All the love, passion, care is there in that single glance.*Thud*..and that smile...Uff!

  • Ok..First I thought he is caressing her cheek, you know..πŸ˜›.But later understood, ki wo caressing nahin drawing kar raha tha!!πŸ˜†

  • I did NOT see that coming!! Mustache on Khushi? Drawn by Arnav Singh Raizada? Showing it to the entire family? ...so basically he is really really joking? πŸ˜²πŸ˜†

  • Arnav running all around the house to escape from Khushi's gussa was totally Barun!! totally..even that smile...Not that I am complaining...You all know, I love Barun!!πŸ˜†

  • When Dadi comes, why does no one come forward and say something, anything in Khushi's favor? Poor Khushi..left all alone in front of that Hitler!!
And why does Arnav go without taking Khushi with him? That was so not ASR-ish...*pouts*

  • Mami saying "Nand Kishore" and Buaji "Hello hi Bye bye" to address each other by their trademark style!!...That was really funny and totally adorable!!πŸ˜† I think that even though they keep bickering with each other yet the bond of friendship is getting stronger!!πŸ˜ƒ..Me likes it!!

  • "Aapki amma kahaan hai"?? Dadi has to talk in that Authoritative tone as if she is the reigning queen of some kingdom!..Or probably she really is...17th century mindset??..so naturally reflected in her words!!😑

And why suddenly back to "amma"...till yesterday she was calling garima her Mausi, isn't it? Ye Dadi mujhe pagal kar ke hi dam legi!!

  • About Garima-Dadi scene, I am not going too much into that because I am not sure what will eventually come out from my post!
Just want to say that Dadi is really khadoos...She was NOT ready to listen to Garima then and she is STILL NOT ready to listen to her now! For her, Garima is at fault and there is no one who can negate this!

I disliked the whole confrontation...But I really really disliked the part when she starts saying that she will make Garima's daughters life miserable!! Now what is that? She is a grandmother! She has the wisdom of at least 3 generations with her and still she talks, thinks like an immature person! She has derived at the conclusions that :

    1) Garima had an "Affair" with her son, so that means she "must" have planted her daughters to destroy Raizada home...Really??

2)She will take revenge on Garima by destroying Khushi and Payal... Seriously woman?😑 No wonder you like Shyaam so much!!

    3) "Tum jaisi Auratein"..."gandi nazar"..."Saari khushi cheen li"..."chup"..🀒

  • She says Garima separated a wife from her husband, mother from their children and her from her son...Point to be noted, she says only son and NOT son AND Daughter-in-law both...I was not surprised at this after knowing her thought process!! But still, makes me dislike it!!

  • I hated that slap!! Dadi just Cannot slap Garima like that!! πŸ˜‘

  • Ok It just plain annoys me when Dadi declares at the top of her voice that the house and the family is hers!! Where was she the last 14 years? If you dont stick by your family at the time of their greatest need, you do NOT get to say all these things!! πŸ˜‘

  • Garima says she did not know Senior Malik was married? that Anjali and Arnav are his kids?? πŸ˜²...I am cleaned bowled at this!! Like completely!!

  • Shyaam lurking in the background..seeing all this and smirking!! Oh! Such a dreadful sight...Aage dadi, peeche Creepwa!!🀒

  • "Ab ye shaadi nahin hogi"...huh! you wish Stopwa!! Stay away from Arshi!!

  • Kushi's "Ret ki tarah aapki ungaliyon se nikal jayenge"...Sigh! one more hint...we get it CVs, we get it!! Liked the change of expressions on Arnav's face though..Aww!!😊

  • That "promise" was so promising..wasn't it?πŸ˜†

  • CV's - Sanaya's Body double?? So glaringly obvious!!..Atleast try to not show her face too much...Fans recognize even from a small glimpse..Plus those tatoo-mehendi hands...Really??πŸ˜†

PS: Happy Birthday Sanaya!! Hope all your dreams come true and you achieve greater heights of success! Thank you for portraying Khushi with so much sincerity! We love you!!πŸ˜ƒ

Love, Sumi

Humko Humien se Chura lo...

Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind. 'Pooh!' he whispered. 'Yes, Piglet?' 'Nothing,' said Piglet, taking Pooh's paw. 'I just wanted to be sure of you.  AA Milne

One of the most poignant beautiful episode with heart touching insight into Arnav Singh Raizada, Tonite when I tuned into the episode I had a nagging fear that blast from the past might ruin the beautiful moment of Arnav & Khushi, the husky voiced Shart between A & K had rose my expecations for something which will make this bond stronger, A trinklet or a expression I wasnt sure but all in all i knew It was special and boy the CV's bowled me what I got, I will salute the team  IPK tonite

I had read the above qoute a few times but tonite when I saw Arnav telling Khushi to mk that promise, this ran into by back mind, Arnav & khushi have started diametirically opposite, but destiny and DM kept letting them rub in each other, and each instance  they got a glimpse of the vulnerable soul behind the facades they wore for the world around them

they were coming closer and then destiny played its one ugly card,  Arnav thought he had  lost that too with the most imaginable way to his own brother in law, his two most cherish ppl he had lost, A gal he fell in love, a brother in law who he respected like a elder,  and then there was lash out in mid road, midnite of pain of loss of betrayal,

Khushi once agn bought the faith and feel of belongingnes to him, she bought him trust loyalty and once agn he found something which he had lost long back with his mother, For a Child Arnav, his mother represented all the good in his world and when he lost his mother, he lost a lot of other things, more than matelistic loss, it represented a spiritual loss for him, one which confined him beyong the self erected walls of cynism and resentment in the world, All the purity was lost for him, Khushi bought the pureness back into his life

Tonite when Khushi naughtily tells him, that she will disappear from his horizon his old fear returns, a hope which was withered under the ugliness of Arnav's life was woken up by Khushi,  when she playfully mentions the disappearnce, the anguish haunts him
Arnav has cherished his mother, and now  he cherishes Khushi, not in his dreams will  he be able to bear the loss agn, the fear the pain in his leashed voice where he said" fir kabhie aisa kehna bhi mat" "PROMISE"

Once agn he is trying to hold the grains of love in his fist but can they be held?

He then takes her to special place where he shares the colorful cheerful memories of his mother, the meaning of those pearls in his young mind and he knows Khushi will tk care of this equally, she will value and cherish them equally for now he has his faith in relations bcz of Khushi, who is like the other half which completes him and Khushi when he realises what has he gvn her tonite, A piece of his heart, She is overwhelmed & Awed...the memory of her bday with the last moment rosebud and tonites comfirmation bought the fact that though he had let her in his heart long time back and therfore the cherished gift tonite it was letting her in his soul openly and adoringly

Sometime an assurance of support & trust leaves you with  a strength which is unfathomable more than your faith, the faith of other person matters bcz he or she has become the gateway to you soul, I felt this looking at Arnav tonight

I know the time has come for Arnav to give some test in/for Love but I am sure if Khushi came in flying colors during marriage & Kidnapping, Arnav too will come from this blast from past, I am in for a joyride, if this is executed with the promise it showed tonite

I loved Dadi Garima faceoff ,,,, but a slap, I guess that went overboard

Dediaction to Arnav & Khushi Singh Raizada

"I don't pretend to know what love is for everyone, but I can tell you what it is for me; love is knowing all about someone, and still wanting to be with them more than any other person, love is trusting them enough to tell them everything about yourself, including the things you might be ashamed of, love is feeling comfortable and safe with someone, but still getting weak knees when they walk into a room and smile at you."

Two major things in the episode were 1) Garima-Dadi confrontation with Shyam as usual hiding and grinning away like a monkey, sorry, didn't mean to insult the animal jaat and 2) The wonderful relationship growth between Arnav and Khushi.  One wants to hang on to the past while the other was letting go.  Shall we get started?

Blast from the past

After all the trouble that Shyam Shakuni went through, Devi Maiyya suddenly decides that enough is enough and says, "theek hain, ab time ho gaya, meeting ho jane doh".  She snapped her fingers and right away we saw Dadi Duryodhan finding Garima and there's no escape this time.  Who helped dadi ji in this?  None other than Khushi who pointed out her mother from afar.  Didn't Arnav already say that where Khushi is, there's always Dhamaka?  Look at fate and how it changes lives.  Would Khushi have ever done what she did if she knew the insults Garima will be subjected to?

Dadi called Garima by name and poor Garima who's not expecting dadi ji turned around; she doesn't know that the past that she's so desperately trying to escape is meeting up with her face to face.  Garima received the shock of her life and she's shivering and shaking, what to do?  Dadi goes to visit the past in a flashback.  We see her talking to Garima and letting out her harsh opinion about how she took everything away from the family and ruined their lives.  Garima is defending herself that she was unaware that he was married and he never told her.

Coming back to the present, Dadi recognizes that Garima is indeed THAT WOMAN and her fury is unleashed and all the halaahal (poison) that she's kept hidden inside her for so long, is let lose.  Here's the woman who was shameless to have an affair with a married man, took everything away from her and her family.  How dare this woman set her foot into this place?  When Garima tries to plead with her, Dadi slaps her and says, she should have known that this is that same woman who's ashamed of what she did and that's why she was trying to hide.  She's like a dark cloud that's never leaving her family.  Once women like her eye their prey, they'll never leave them alone until they die.  She took away the happiness of a family, a wife from her husband, parents from their children and a son from his mother.  How can this woman defend herself? Chup Dadi tells her, don't speak another word.  Garima is not even allowed to defend herself.  She wasn't satisfied with having an affair with a married man and not being satisfied she sent her daughters to ruin the lives of her grandsons.  Garima's attempt to say something about Sr. Malik once again falls on deaf ears.  The only reason Garima's and her daughter's plans worked well until now is because she (dadi) wasn't around.  Now that she's back, she'll make sure that neither Garima nor her daughters have any influence in the house or on her family.  Just as Garima ruined her whole family, she'll do the same to her family too.  Nothing that she says will ever change things.  Because of her, her son and daughter-in-law are lost to her forever and her granddaughter and grandson lost their childhood and are still bearing the burden of the past.  She'll make her and her daughters pay the price.  Garima is in tears, goes down on her knees and makes another attempt to say that she didn't know that he was married and not to punish her daughters for what she did.  Dadi says it's too late to ask for forgiveness and she's very happy to have met Garima before the marriage, now she'll make sure that the marriage will not happen and that's final.

Shyam, who's hiding behind the doors is listening to the whole conversation between Dadi and Garima and is gloating away and grinning.  Why won't he be happy?  Things are working out way better than what he expected and Khushi and Arnav will be separated and the marriage will not take place.  He has every reason to be happy.  Tsk, Tsk, Shyam, I've already said that it's too early to count your chickens, didn't I?  It doesn't matter what Shyam's past is, but he's totally evil to enjoy when someone like Garima is slapped by dadiji.  He has no sense that someone who's his mother's age was slapped. It'll be very hard to digest if they show redemption for Shyam.

Dadiji ' She's seated herself on a high pedestal and pronounced judgment, unwilling to listen to the pleadings of innocence.  I've already written about her ego and bigotry.  Today, she's proved beyond doubt that she's totally and utterly hard hearted when it comes to people whom she considers as fallen in her eyes.  Why?  Because, it's one such woman who was responsible for shattering her whole family and lives were lost.  So, she generalizes it to all.  Kah diya to bas kah diya, such women need to be punished and it's an eye for an eye.  Not even the fact that Khushi brought back Shyam for Anjali's sake made any difference to her.  Garima and her daughters are hung, drawn and quartered.  They don't deserve any respect and she heaped insults on them.  She tore them and their self-respect to pieces and is all set to destroy their lives forever.  Isn't it all based on the opinion she formed in the past?  She's just wallowing in the past and doesn't want to let it go.  She's completely shackled to her past in very thick chains and there's no freedom from it yet.

Hmmm, Dadi ji, it's nice that you think about YOUR FMAILY AND YOUR HOUSE, but is it truly your family?  Didn't you leave them and turn your back on them when they really needed you the most?  Didn't you refuse to meet them when they came to see you?  So, suddenly THIS WOMAN made you think of your family is it?  Didn't Arnav already make it clear that he wants you back in the Ashram?  Arhem, dadi ji, Shantivan is Arnav's sweat and blood and does not belong to you, period.  Neither you nor anyone else has any ownership of it.  So, where's the case of YOUR HOUSE?  Whether Arnav will stop the marriage or not, is left to him and not you.  Shall we wait and see what happens?

Question:  Was there a need to show Shyam's toothpaste smile for so long?  It was so darned irritating and annoying.

Dadi was shouting at the top of her voice and insulting Garima and no one including the servants heard her?  Hein, aisan kaisa?

Garima keeps saying that she didn't know "woh" shaadi shuda they, is this really Sr. Malik or someone else?  I know she has the picture of Sr. Malik, but are we sure it's him we are talking about?

Remove the shackles of the past

Arnav wins the game of pass the pillow around and Khushi has to do what he says.  He takes her to his room, leads her on making her think he has some romantic plan in mind and then draws a mooch on her face and brings her down for all to see.  The laughter of the family makes Khushi wonder what happened and when she takes off the blindfold, he brings a mirror close to her face.  She's shocked to see the moochen and a big black dot on her face and screams.  He tells her she's really beautiful and didn't want any bad eyes on her, so''Khushi is upset that he played this trick on her and starts chasing him around.  Didn't we always hear how natkhat Arnav was in his childhood and here's our proof.  That child in him today is free to roam around and enjoy life and it's all because of Khushi.  Yes, he certainly threw off that manacle.

Arnav is wiping out the mark of moochen off Khushi's face and though it's all clean, he continues to do so just to touch her.  When she comes to know what he's doing, she tells him that she won't fall into his traps again and will run away as far as possible from him and he won't be able to find her.  Arnav is really upset on hearing her.  The thought of separating himself from her, even jokingly, is unbearable to him.  His whole bearing changes and he asks her to promise never to say such things again.  The ever perceptive Khushi notices that he's absolutely serious and gives her word.  She asks him what's wrong and waits for a response.  When none if forthcoming, she tells him it's ok, he can share when he's ready.  How well she's able to read him, sense his moods, give him his space and waits for him to respond?  She knows all he needs now is comfort and gives him a hug.

Arnav asks her if she trusts him and will she come with him and he doesn't want anyone to know, so they'll leave through the back door.  She nods her agreement and they leave forgetting their cell phones.  Arnav brings her to a garden with a cottage.  It's his very private world that she's entering, it's a world that none is privy to.

Sorry guys, having serious internet and power problems...will continue later.

So the blindfold surprise Arnav had for Khushi is one none of us saw coming, drawing moustache on her and bringing her downstairs for the family to see was so unlike Arnav, but it shows the side Khushi brings out to him one that is playful and who loves to pull her leg.

The next scene I absolutely adored, Arnav taking Khushi to a place very close to his heart and revealing his love for plants being because of his mother was all beautifully shown. Arnav, a man who never opened up to anyone has finally found someone he feels safe opening up about his past whether its painful memories that haunt him or heartwarming memories like shown today. Khushi and Arnav's bond continues to deepen, he tells her all those rituals are formality but for him she was his wife and his mother's daughter in law it couldn't get anymore meaningful than this especially after Khushi saw that birthday wish was more heartfelt than she ever imagined. He loves her with all his heart and today she holds extreme importance in his life, he cannot bear to think of his life without her in it..

So the much awaited confrontation between Dadi and Garima finally took place, yes it was annoying but it was better than the never ending slow motion misses we've had to endure. Finally the truth is out, or is it?? Garima's words did imply she was indeed the other woman but still I'm not convinced, there is a piece of the puzzle that is missing here, something that is still unknown to viewers. If Arnav's father was really having an affair then why tell his wife it is not what you think? Why did that flashback look eerily similar to the one Arnav witnessed on the terrace?? There are always two sides to the story and Garima's is yet to come

I could not stand Dadi today, she has a lot of nerve judging Khushi and Payal for she knows nothing about them. Dadi was gone for 14 years, never once kept in touch with the children she claims to care so much about so how can she make it seem like Payal and Khushi entrapped the Raizada men??? Now Dadi wants to punish both sisters with Khushi being punished more severely believing she not only entrapped Arnav but Shyam too, the very thought is enough to make me cringe. I really hope Dadi is set straight soon but not expecting much considering the day she strikes will be one full of shock and anger to react to her insults. Will Khushi walk away like hinted in her earlier dialogue?? Will Arnav be the first to reach out like hinted during the dupatta haldi scene?? A separation though likely does not look long term given how close these two have become.

While I feel the CVs did a better job by focusing on close up shots of Barun and Sanaya, there were some places where the body doubles were visible. For example, the hand holding scene Sanaya's BD has the tattoo version mehendi and she was visible in the scene where she walks away only to be pulled by Arnav. Editing could be better but overall an emotional episode which I loved.
