*Rules for Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon Section*

1. Moderation: Not everyone on Dev Team is a moderator. Coolbies and Videobies do not fall under the category of Moderation as they only provide updates. The Moderation chain latter as follows: Viewbie/Cool Viewbie > Moderator > Channel Moderator. Your first contact would be the section's Viewbie/Cool Viewbie or Moderator as they will take care of day to day activities on the forum. If you have complaints regarding moderation those can be sent directly to CMs, but any other issues must be brought to the attention of Viewbie/Cool Viewbie first. In case if any members feels that a warning being given is not justified or there is an error then please pm the DT member, but do not argue on the respective post and cause disruption. If you are not satisfied with the answer then please direct the concerns to CMs.

2. Comparison Topics/Instigating Posts/Plotting: Firstly and foremost, emphasizing in any way or form that "one character/actor or show is better than the other" will not be allowed henceforth. By now, we all know instigating topics and comparison on this forum are not allowed. Some members purposely instigate others and believe they can get by with it and some plan attacks in other places and decide to disrupt the functioning of the forum. Well, it will not happen anymore.

3. Name-Calling/Stereotyping: Giving names to other fans will not be tolerated. From now on name calling, bashing other fans, or stereotyping will not be allowed. In addition, comment on the show and not the viewers. It seems like half of the posts are targeted at the viewers rather than the show. Do not pass snide remarks at viewers of the show just because their interest lies in something different from yours. Actor name calling will not be tolerated either. Calling Character names is allowed as long as they are not offensive.

4. Telling others what to do: I would prefer members to stop preaching on the forum. Let the moderators decide what is needed on this forum and what is not or what one member is allowed to do or not. You cannot stop someone from posting in any topic. Do not become a moral police on the forum.

5. Utilizing Report Feature: If anyone sees a thread/post/comment which is offending posted by someone, you will NOT take law into your own hands to teach a lesson to that person for insulting your favorite idol. That aggravates matters more and you also become liable for action for reacting thus. Instead you will simply make use of the "REPORT" button and report the thread by stating the reason clearly. As soon as the Dev Team comes online they would take the necessary action and try our best to resolve the issue.

6. Language/Inappropriate Content: A lot of members try to use code words and asterisk and try to get away with such language. Well, It won't happen from now on. This decision has been made by the Global moderators themselves.

"Who watches this Shit?"

Any discussion or post/content in a post directly/indirectly speaks of something inappropriate will not be allowed henceforth. (i.e. gutter posts). Such post/ comment will be closed/deleted.

7. Bashing/Personal Attacks: Bashing and making personal attacks against any actor/actress/CVs/members/characters etc. is not allowed. Make sure members know the difference between bashing and criticism. A critic is one who discusses things in perspective, never loses objectivity and states things in a logical and constructive way. But a basher is one, who states the points a bit too heavily such that, it no longer looks like criticism but looks like a total attack. Everyone have their own point of view let's respect it. You have right to raise your opinion but one should see lines ain't crossed. Avoid making posts that are abusive, derogatory, insulting or sarcastic enough to affect the sentiment of another member. This is against IF COC and won't be tolerated.

Keep a control on your sarcasm. If the mods feel that your post is no longer critiquing, but is full of sarcasm/attacks... that will be held against you.

8. No thread on Dev Team working: No threads shall be opened criticizing the functioning of the Dev Team. If you have any issues contact the section Dev Team by PM and sort it out but do not create a scene by starting a thread here. No personal attack 'direct/indirect, abusive/sarcastic shall be tolerated.

9. No Stretching the Issue or Discussing the Matter After DT has Posted Warning: Though we urge you all to ignore and report, many of you ignore that and reply back. Also, despite DT posting warnings, members still stick to that incident instead of discussing the topic at hand. This stretches the issue. There is no need for you to reply back if the DT has already dealt with the issue. If people are found doing so, action will be taken.

10. Repeated Topics: Check a few pages back before making a topic on the same point. Repeated topics will be closed/merged. (i.e. promo, sbs/sbb/news coverage, precap, a particular scene, etc.)

11. No Chatting/Spamming: Refrain yourself from chatting/spamming on the forum. Do not start your personal chats in threads opened for various subjects/discussion topics. Please try to stick to the topic when posting replies. If you want to chat, we have the IPKKND Chat Group (ICG) or you can create a separate thread in Chat Club section & chat there but chatting in discussion topic will not be allowed. We understand that some members prefer to discuss within their own group in their own discussion/ analysis threads and normally chat there. We will consider it, however, chatting should be limited.

12. Updating: There are Written/Video Updaters assigned for the forum already. Anyone posting the episode updates without permission, his/her post will be trashed.

13. No Advertising: Videos from other forums/websites containing the website logo are not allowed. If found doing so the topic will be trashed & a PM will be send. If you continue to do so even then your warning level will be raised. Also posting links from IF in other forums is strictly prohibited.

14. Posting Email Address or Personal Pictures of Stars: Accounts or email address of stars is not allowed to be posted or revealed unless they them self give it. Also, posting your email address on open forum is not allowed. Moreover, no personal pictures of stars are allowed to be posted.

15. Picture topics: All pictures are to be posted in the Picture Gallery. The following picture topics can be allowed: (1) Spoiler Pictures, (2) Episode Pictures - they can be posted separately provided they do not contain other forums logo/watermark, (3) Off-Screen/Special Occasion - If you have pictures for a particular special occasion that you want to post on the forum then you may post. Otherwise, please post all the pictures in the Picture Gallery (this includes pictures of the actors previous projects).

16. Emotions: Do not type message or post reply full of emotions only. Emotions are used to emphasize how you feel when words alone aren't enough. They serve as 'add-ons' to your message BUT it doesn't mean that you are to type a whole line of Emoticons alone, without a single word or phrase (e.g. ' Big smile

')! Messages containing only emotions will be deleted.

17. Posting Articles: Before posting any article please check to make sure that the article has not been posted before. IF has launched its own news hub Telly Buzz. We are now in direct competition with IndianTelevision & Telly Chakkar. See to it you do not post articles from these two websites. Do not post articles from Telly Buzz directly on forum. Provide link/source of the articles.

18. Organizing Contest/Activities: You can not post Contests/Activities/Games/ Appreciation-FanThreads without prior approval from the moderators.

19. Promotions: I know some of you all are very excited that you have become senior member, goldie, IF dazzlers, IF rockerz.. and we are truly happy for you all, but since this is IPKKND forum those topics need to go in the Meme4u Forum.

20. Using Signatures: As per the rule a member is allowed to use three signature of which one can be animates small. Do not use wallpaper size signature in your signature. To know more in details you can read ATTN: Signature/Avatar Size - Guidelines of Avatar & Signature Section. Signatures bashing actors/members will not be tolerated. If the signatures are not removed at the moderator's request then the signatures will be removed by Moderators themselves and will count as one strike.

21. Use Like Button: Every often we see members posting thanks or tfs or one liner instead of using the Like button. The Like feature has come in place of Thank You feature so that spamming could be alleviated. Saying thanks, tfs, etc constitutes to spamming. If you have nothing more to say apart from thanks then you can thank using Like button.

22. Help topics: If you have any queries regarding the show then please post it in Help Desk. We will definitely try our best to help out there.

23. Typing in CAPS LOCK: Please do not write in Cap Locks. If you continue to do so it will result in a WL increase.

24. Regarding AT threads: There are Appreciation Threads for the Actor/Actress/Jodi. Please do not create individual threads over little things that can be discussed in AT. Please remember to not chat and stay on topic. All the Physical attributes of the actor/actress (eyes/nose/hair/smile/etc.) should be discussed in the AT's of the respective Actors. Please avoid opening separate topics for them.

25. Morphed Pictures: We do not allow this on IF. So please refrain from posting such pictures. You can check the below link for more details MERGING/MORPHING - NOT ALLOWED

26. Promo Updater's: We appreciate you all posting new promos, but if someone has already posted a promo do not make a new topic on the same promo. If you have a higher quality than post in the topic that is already opened. We will make sure you get credit for uploading better quality.

27. Quoting Posts/Members/Creations/Pictures: Don't quote long posts especially when it messes up the coding which makes it look bad. If you want to reply to someone use the @ format like @A: , @B: & so on. Only upto 3 quotes are allowed in a post given the fact they are relatively small quotes and not page long essays.

28. Bashing on Celebrity Fan Page: Celebrity Profiles are monitored so please do not bash there. It will result in a warning as it is against the rules.

29. Creating MIDS: Creating Multiple IDs (another account) on IF is not allowed under any circumstances. Wrong usage of creating a different account will result in a WL increase without any warnings as this is a serious issue.

30. Discussions on Actor's Personal Life : You have right to comment on actors, their acting & their style while not crossing the line but to comment on actors personal life & people who are part of their personal sphere won't be appreciated here at IF. What any celebrity do in their personal life is their Personal Matter. Its their life & they have complete freedom to live it the way they wants to. We are no one to interfere in it.

Warning Level Procedure:

1. Verbal warning
2. PM warning from Dev Team
3. WL Increase.
4. Lead to possible Ban.

*attacks on any actor/member will lead to a direct raise in WL with or without notice.

31. External Content from Social Networking Sites : As of November 24, 2012 contents from social networking sites are no longer permitted on I-F. Contents from Facebook, Twitter, Forum32 and/or blogs are not to be posted.

If for some reason you do not agree with the warning you have received in your topic then you need to PM the moderator who warned you instead of starting an argument in the forum. If you are not satisfied with the reply given by the DT members then you may take up your issue with the Channel Moderators. However, absolutely no arguments on the forum as that will lead to a direct increase in your warning level. If you have any doubts/ suggestions/ objections regarding anything then feel free to PM any of the DT members (minuu , *Resham* , .Mandy. , ~Saraa~).

Hey friends,

Forum32/Facebook/twitter is not related to India forums hence refrain from dragging any external issue from that forum over to India forums. You can share tweets and news as long as it has authenticity otherwise, we will not allow them. It creates unnecessary a lot of fights between the fans and we cant afford to increase our workload.

The moderators appreciate a sense of humor. Sarcasm and plays on words are common and fine but sarcasm will be tolerated as long as it does not cross the line into over rudeness/insult and it should not be stereo-type to insult certain actors and fan groups.

Dislike and criticism are allowed but insulting/mocking comments with clear intention to put down in a derogatory manner will not be TOLERATED. Kindly co operate with us so we are not forced to close down your threads.

We also would like to inform, we will be closing down any repetitive threads hence forth without no closing note. Any repetitive AT type posts, pictures, Barun leaving topics , one liners about the episode, tweets/fb status, spoilers,comparative polls, Viraf-Barun comparison, "I heard from my source", "I read somewhere" , no value addition to show criticism topic etc .
(exception: threads which carry on healthy debates without no bashing/fight)

The forum is flooded with countless Petition threads. We will allow only one "Bring back IPK 2 with Sarun" type of petition thread. Rest will be closed or trashed.

Members may cry foul about it but sorry friends, since none is co operating with us, we are left with no choice. Considering the forums current state in our mind, we were to forced to this decision.

Any questions will be entertained by PMs only.

Hi All,

We all understand that as fans you all do get upset if things are not going the way you all want but we would still suggest NOT to indulge in any activity which you wont like if its to be served to you or your loved ones.

Its sad to see that today few members in their anger / frustration are attacking the show makers, creatives and the actors or the channel people who made this show possible in the first place. Nobody really knows what happened behind the scenes.So judging another person or an entity without first hand knowledge, making IF as a platform for malicious gossip and using it to target or slander somebody is not what this forum is for.

One can surely express one's view but that needs to be made in a civil manner and which comes across as a constructive criticism and not to use derogatory language.

I would request the moderators also not to allow Personal Attacks of any nature. And we would not want that due to the action of few the whole forum gets a bad name.

We DO NOT encourage or would allow any group to use India-Forums as a platform which promotes hatred, involves derogatory speech and unnecessary name calling against any individual or company.

Hi All,

Well just browsing through some of the posts in the forum and I was not able to understand why some members are getting into personal attack and making troll posts using MIDs.

This is the LAST WARNING to all who are getting into it and not following the India-Forums Code of Conduct. The show has ended and we need to look forward. The idea of keeping the forum open was to remember the good things, and memories not into getting personal attacks on any actor or member or fan groups.

No one is saying that you do not have the right to criticize but it has to be a constructive one and no point in going into that now as its not going to really benefit much as the show has already ended so whats done is done.

You may be hurt by something but my request to you all is lets use our energy in doing something positive and good. All the members are here on the forum to enjoy and not to fight so please keep a healthy environment in the forum.

If there is a post you find offensive / trolls simply DO NOT reply to it as that will keep it up on the forum topics and will encourage the trolls in making more such posts. Simply use the "Report" feature and we at the Dev Team will take care of it much faster as less number of posts will be there to go through and the offender will not escape saying he/she was instigated. I repeat please DO NOT reply to such posts.

I really hope that our members will understand and respect each other and all who have really worked hard for the show and not indulge in unnecessary infighting and instigatory remarks as that will just leave scars in our memories and its not worth it.

Hi guys!

Here we are with yet another public warning in regards to a few matters. Whether you choose to follow them or not, that's not our problem. We will be though taking care of such matters which WILL result in a Warning Level raise by 20% for EACH offense.

Warning PMs and closing threads apparently have no effect whatsoever, so here it is.

Discussion on Sanaya and Barun being a couple: We have had ENOUGH! NO MORE discussion on SaRun being a couple for real because let's be practical, they are both happy with their respective partners. Let them be. Give them their space. So, anymore discussion about SaRun being a couple will be trashed and the WL for that person will be raised. No questions asked.

Also, if you happen to write anything even closely related to such a disgusting rumor anywhere, be it your signature, avatar, profile status, YOU will be penalized for it. I'm sorry to say this, but we don't have room for such rumors to even start here. India-Forums is NOT a medium for you to start such topics and think it's funny, because it's NOT!

Multiple IDs (MIDs): You create an MID or you know of an MID. We will find out. If you have created an MID, we the Development Team have the sources for finding it out through an IP check. So, if you happen to have an MID and carry out conversations with the members here, it's time for you to PM us and let us know this so we can deal with those accounts. If you happen to have an MID and are caught by the DT then your MID account will be banned AND you will have to face a WL raise of 20% without any questions or clarifications.

Secondly, if you happen to know of an account that you might think is an MID, then instead of conversing to the member, tell US! We will deal with them. We're always a PM away so please tell us. We would appreciate it if you wait patiently and give us time to deal with the issue.

Misuse of the report button: Lately, it has come to our notice that many members report the same topic more than once. Please don't do that. We're humans and will take time to get to the reports. Your reporting one post constantly does no good because we go in order and it will be dealt with. Infact, if you report it more than once, then the topic will take a longer time for us to deal with because of the RPs. If another member does this misuse of the report button, then we will be raising WLs directly. No more warnings will be issued out. Yes, it's there for you to use and report topics that need to be dealt with but give us at the very least 24 hours to deal with them because we all have different time zones and a personal life which we need to keep up with as well.

You can leave feedback or your questions in this thread, and we will answer them here too.

You can also PM the following people at any given time and we will respond within 24 hours. At the very least, one of us will respond.
