Very simple to see and understand & realize that Lord doesn't needed to first take 'birth' here and then travel all the way to Lanka to kill demons.

So, why Sitaji & Shri Ram did all that they did?

For their children, of course, for us!!

Now eons after the incidents of Ramayan took place, when we recall them, each & every incident tells us something.

For example, Sitaji puts up with all these tortures in lanka, and yet never let's go of her faith & her hope, & her trust in Shri Ram, her supreme confidence that come what may, her Ram will come to lanka & will adequately punish Ravan.

Not only all these tortures, next she will spend four months of the monsoons sitting under that Ashoka tree, braving heavy rains & ravaging elements, without losing hope, and in the end, her belief will be proved right. 

By doing this, she is telling us something, provided we are willing to listen to our mother.   😊
