I don't know squat about Karwachauth. Teej, on the other hand, is synonymous with Parvati Mata's union with Shiv Baghwaan. I don't know much about it, besides the wikipedia stuff.

Also, I think that KC is excessively romanticized in TV serials. I'm from UP, but we don't do it. I would have never heard of it if not for these movies and TV shows. On the plus, it's a pretty ritual and has the potential of making even a blackhearted warrior yearn for love. *coughs* All of Ekta's heroes who shunned their wives privately and knelt before them on KC 😆
