But this was really their perfect platform to set themselves apart from the rest of the channels.

Like I said, everytime I take a break, I explore something.  Last time it was some shows on the American TV.  This time it has been the Indian stuff.  I have kind of started rounding off all the shows on all the channels I get.  I see every single one of them being the same -- these nicely dressed women and their saas who is screaming at them!

This show was so damn different but with the advent of Dadi, it is almost the same as all of them.

So, I dont think any strategic genius is behind this stuff.  It is a serious possibility that they genuinely ran out of ideas to prolong the show -- they didnt like the ones on the Forum and their group -- so they picked a track.  I dont see them changing it.  We had fun doing the petition for our satisfaction!

Cheers.

when I meant innovative stratergies, they have not made an inch's difference in the type of shows they air but they have their own brand of medium in promoting, catogorize and selling their products to the masses.

After all, they must be doing something right to be in the top of all indian TV channels right? They seem to have a remarkable grasp in catering to the viewers expectations, in other words what viewers want to see, something IPK had been failing to do for quite some time now.

For example, lamp and wick story, even though silly in it's content, has been able to make a huge impact in the set of audience it's targeted to. All the top guns of the channel are making good revenue and it's consistent too.

About over sea ventures, I was meaning it in a way they want to explore the audience outside India..kind of like some of these B-world movies that are made exclusively targeted to expatriates/ over sea market. IPK might be under that slot, as a means to make SP known to people outside of India.

See I told you, you are scared of ME!!!  You feigned going to bed just to come back with the "intelligent" answer to some boring biz stuff.

Actually right after I finished hitting send, I thought you may have meant the stuff on the Overseas venture stuff to be different than what I interpreted it to be!  I agree there is a really big population outside the sub-continent that is loyal to their ROOTS.  Indian Cricket Matches demonstrate this.

On the Marketing -- at the end of the day, this is an "instant gratification" medium, people change channels if they dont like the content -- while marketing increases reach, content will drive the "sticky" nature of the application.  So, they definitely need a combination of both!

We will discuss this FURTHER when you are strong enough to face me CD -- it is 4 AM now!!!  I feel pity for you!  I cant claim victory by beating you up now!

Wait for it to happen!!!

LOL!

Cheers.

LOL I'm kinda groggy right now, the key board is getting bleary, I have a curious humming noise inside my head (it's screaming go to bed! go to bed!)

Ok since you are so stuck on banishing me away, I'm going Tongue

Good night/ day to all.

Harshu is the youngest among all of us, that's why .
She is bhery bhery wise.
I am having my doubts on Chaitra  though.
She has some strong hold on RIma.
Bhat it is tells us pleez?
I think we all are the trouble makers that is why Maverick, she does not mollycoddles us at all.
* wails like Poojali and howls like ASR*

Yep!  Harshi I can understand, we can all be fond of the kid here!  But there is definitely something weird -- let me be the trouble maker -- is it the South Indian thing???  Is Rima Discriminating against us???  INBESTIGATION KAREKA PADI!!!

Cheers.
Why Rima jee...Why?
I am a Punjabi not a South Indian.
Is that why you dont love me?
But I lived in Bangalore for almost an year.
I even tried to learn Kannada but I used to mess it up with Marathi all the time.
Does that count for you to shower your love on us?
Do you want me to make a video and ask you for not to hate us?
I will negotiate for my love dammit.
Love me pleeezz.
