actually this is what happens in real life in most of the sasurals.But u know what is the actual reason behind this?a woman is called BHOOMI(meaning earth)in India because only she has the courage to bear the burden mother earth can.Men do not have the POWER to do that.EXAMS are given by only those who are ELIGIBLE to sit in it.so be proud of being a woman.😊 Edited by payalgarg - 11 years ago

Absolutely agreed! Ugh and even after she does this agni pariksha who's to say that Yash is going to treat Aarti any better?

The pundit performing the agni pariksha should insist that it is a pati-patni ritual (Yash needs to join) and they need a buzurg to be with them (hint: Boa)
