Maan watched from outside window as Geet kept hugging Vicky while crying. Maan couldn't have been more happier knowing his love had woken up, thanks to Vicky. How could he be soon mean to him before? Now he realized, Vicky was his good luck charm. Maan wanted to go inside and hug Geet only to never let go but he knew he couldn't She didn't want to see him. She hated him. Who could blame her. Either way he would love her till his death even if he has to live far away from her for the rest of his life. He didn't care as long as she was healthy and happy.
Vicky say on the bed as Geet held his hand. She puts her hand on the stomach to get up when she realized she didn't have a belly anymore. She looks around for her baby. Tears welled up in her eyes not knowing what is going on. Maan panicked knowing what she was looking for. He quickly calls the nurse to help her.
He watches as the nurse enters the room while Maan listened through the open door.
"My baby. Where is my baby? How long was I asleep?"
"Ma'am please calm down." (She makes Geet lie down)
"But my baby. What happened to it?"
"you were in coma for over a month due to blood loss." (Geet looks at her shocked. She couldn't believe it. A month?") "your baby is fine."
Geet (sighs in relief) "Can I hold my baby? I would like to see her"
"Am sorry ma'am you can't. Since she is a premature baby we have to keep her in a incubator. She cannot have any skin contact yet."
"incubator? But am the mother. I need to see her. I want to hold my baby. Please"
"Alright, I will speak with the doctor regarding this. For now, why don't you rest for a while."
"No, I can't rest until I get to see my baby. Please. I can't wait any longer"
"I understand. I will speak with the doctors right away. For now it is better if you go to sleep"
"No, I don't want to sleep anymore. I missed over a month time to spend with my daughter. Now, I can't wait any longer."
"Okay, I will be right back then" (She sighs and leaves. Vicky holds her hand looking at Geet."
Maan: Nurse (he spoke to her as soon as she came out of the room) let her see her. Anamika is healing pretty well. Find out if it is okay to take her out of the incubator. (Not once did he take his eyes out of Geet)
"okay sir." (She leaves and comes back after few minutes disturbing Maan from his view) doctor would like to speak with you.
Maan nodes his head and followed the nurse quietly. A lot of emotions were brewing inside him. Emotions that he couldn't express. Emotions that no one would know of.

Geet was escorted in a wheel chair to see her daughter. She was feeling so nervous and excited at the same time. Her daughter. The one she had been waiting for. The only hope for her. Her only happiness. The nurse stopped short few feet from the door. She opens the door while escorting Geet inside the room.
Geet saw a little clear box with a baby inside. Geet looks at her in awe! Her daughter. She wanted to hold her daughter so badly but couldn't.
"you can place your hands through these" (she shows her the holes provided on each side)
"When can I hold her?"
"I don't know yet. For now, you will have to make do with this."
Geet slowly places her hand through on of the hole gently running her fingers on her face.
"you are so pretty. Like I had hopped you would be." (She says with tears. Her heart broke seeing her like this covered with tubes and needles. It was hard for her to digest that is really her daughter. She was like this while she was in coma. She wasn't near her daughter when she needed her the most.) "Am here now" (The baby moves a little slowly opening her eyes. Geet looks at her with happiness) What should I call you?
"Her name is Anamika. Your husband named her. She is very lucky to have a father like your husband. He comes here everyday spending time with her. Reading to her and even changing her diapers. This whole room is even decorated by him"
It was then Geet noticed the whole room. Every corner was filled with balloons and pictures of little babies. At the far end of the corner, there was a huge A hanged up against the wall.
"Can that be the same Maan that I know?" (She thought. Her thoughts were broken when the doctors came in)
"Hello Mrs. Khruana. We have good news for you. You can hold your daughter"
"But how is that possible? Wouldn't it be too dangerous for her? I could wait. I am just happy that she is doing well."
"It won't be dangerous at all. You see, we came across a recent studies where it states mother and a child's skin to skin contact will help the baby recover faster. It is called a kangaroo hold. The baby needs to recognize your touch and senses. Nothing is more stronger than the touch of a mother." Would you like to try this method?"
"yes, doctor I would. Anything to hold my baby."
"Okay, in few hours we would prepare you and the baby. In the meanwhile, please take full rest. It is vital that you are well rested.
"Okay doctor."
The nurse helps Geet escorted back to the room. Maan stood in the corner happily watching. He remembered the meeting he had earlier with the doctor in his office.

Mr. Khruana, the nurse tells me that your wife would wish to see the baby.
"Yes and I would like it for you guys to make that happen. She has already suffered enough without the baby. I don't want her to go through any more difficult."
"but sir you know it is difficult for the baby"
"Yes, I know" (he said interrupting the doctor) but here is the research that I found regarding premature babies. It is called a kangaroo hold where the touch of a mother will help heal the child faster. (he presents the doctor will all the information)
"yes, that is correct. I can't believe that I haven't thought about this before."
"its okay. Not everyone has a brain of Maan Singh Khruana. Anyway, now that Geet is awake make this happen. At least this way she can hold the baby." (Doctor nodes in agreement)
