Directors Kut's Kuch Toh Log Kahege on Sony Entertainment Television has a huge fan following, including noted film director Yash Chopra!
Kuch Toh Log Kahenge is based on the iconic Pakistani show Dhoop Kinare. Acclaimed television and film writer Kamlesh Pandey, who has written big films like Tezzab, Dil, Beta, Narsimha,'Saudagar, Chhalbaaz, Khalanayak, Rang De Basani, Delhi-6 and Aarakshan, agreed to write Rajan Shahi's TV soap based on the Pakistani TV serial Dhoop Kinare. The original was written by the legendary Pakistani television writer Haseena Muin. Haseena Muin not only agreed for the first time in 25 years to give the rights for the remake but acknowledged in a video interview that she is Kamlesh Pandey's fan!
Kamlesh Pandey who himself is a fan of Haseena Muin since he first saw Dhoop Kinare 25 years ago, felt humble and honoured and has taken the tremendous responsibility of living up to her expectations as a challenge. And as a result, the show's popularity has been garnering attention and response from noted celebrities, including Yash Chopra. Says Kamlesh ji, "Yash ji called me when the show started and congratulated me for the work I was doing and he liked the serial very much. It's a daily soap and there are a lot of expectations. Kuch Toh Log Kahenge has become a brand name today. But not only Yash ji, even on face book we have so many female fan followers who love the show. So I feel responsible towards them. I am so grateful and happy with the response. So far, the journey's been good".
