Idk about India, but my dad went there many times before & he said the people there aren't so friendly.
They are mean, greedy, & cheap.

So yes, I would defiantly say the Middle East !
That sounds pretty serious.

Which part of Middle East did he go to ?
Which part of India are we talking about ?

Middle East - Saudi Arabia, Yemen & Aden. I've been there too, recently.

India - Kashmir, Mumbai, Delhi, Agra, & somewhere in South India.

He's been to a lot of cities in India since he used to work with the United Nations.

I think the survey is biased. I'm sure it was mainly done by White people. I don't mean to be racist, but generally speaking if say a Bangladeshi went to live in India, then there would be no problems and I'm sure they would find it easy to fit in as the culture is somewhat similar.
Whereas obviously if a white person came to live in India they would find it a bit more difficult to fit in, but if they went from a country with a white majority population to another country with a white majority population, then it's easier to fit in as their cultures are similar.

My uncle, who is Bangladeshi went to India and he said everyone was lovely and he felt at home. (They went to a village area and only went shopping in the city) Same with some people I know who went to UAE.

Some countries on the list are not so welcoming to Asians.

The country with the smallest population would probably be the nicest country - d'uh! People in general are not very nice. They just like to think that they are.

I have a hard time taking this topic seriously. How does this even make sense?

Hi Summer Big smile..How r u doing?

Ok here's my take on this...This whole survey seems like a crap study done by me to pass faltu time LOLLOL..no clue why they undertake these researches...who funds them and in whose vested interest it is to give out these kinds of results...wonder what was the sample population and from which section of society they were taken...were there equal number of Asians,Euorpeans and ppl from all continents or did it stick to ppl from a certain number of countries alone?

the criteria for the study looks a little odd.The four criteria are

ability to befriend locals, success in learning the local language, capacity for integrating themselves into the community, and ease in which they fit into the new culture

Well, criteria 2 is almost wholly dependent of criteria 1...so that means English speaking ppl moving into English speaking nations are at aclear advantage here(explains the presence of Australia and New Zealand at the top).Criteria 1 and 2 together are majorly responsible for criteria 3 and 4...so there goes the whole survey LOLLOLLOL

I personally think people are the same everywhere.they are equally friendly...the way of expressing friendhsip and concern could differ from culture to culture and nation to nation..Like in India we are very expressive and vocal...but that's it...Smile
