Hi, we get 3 types of beaten rice, (hard, medium and thin) For thin & medium POHA, it is not advisabel to use tomato but when you use the hard ones, the tomatoes can be used in seasoning (sorry I have not seen the episode, so not sure whether she cooked it made raw Poha. If it is cooked, the beaten rice will be sprinkled with water to soften it before cooking. So while using hard poha, we use either tomato or lemon to give tangi taste.jaya
